Who knew that over 60 years ago that Bill and Gloria would do so much for our music. I remember how Bill didn't want to lose the southern gospel or any of those groups. He cause them to be in the forefront again and that is the best thing he did. In 1956-57, I just thought he and his brother and sister were just good singers. I got to hear several of their concerts for free at Anderson College and Theological Seminary (ACTS). The church and the college were singing all the time with all types of singers and players. Except for home, Anderson is the only other place I have ever been homesick for.
I only wish the children of today could hear this! We've lost many of our youth to the "new music" and it's not the same! These people got the job done! It's all about salvation!!! They are a powerful group! Like the Happy Goodman's, they speak to the salvation of our Lord!!?

Amen! As a gen z pentecostal, rest assured we are trying our best! I ran from the lord for a long time, even though I've been in church my entire life. Until one morning holy ghost fire came over me and I gave myself to the lord. There are not many of us youth christains, but there will always be a remnant! Keep all of us in your prayers! 🎉

I’m a Pentecostal preacher’s kid and grandkid who grew up on gospel music. How am I just now discovering this song?!! Wow, wow, wow!I’ve listened to it at least 10 times tonight. Take THAT 2020!
Gaither music is made up of many groups and soloists. Hard to go wrong listening to any of those people. Some new groups you may want to try are Southern Rival Gospel, and Southern Raised. Compared to me, they are a young group with new sounds.

I’m a born and raised Louisiana Catholic but my grandmother was a saved Baptist from Oklahoma and I watched the Gaither programs with her a lot and The Hoppers were one of her favorites. She passed in 2020 at 94 and I find so much joy in watching these old videos that we watched on VHS for years. It’s SHOUTING time!!!

I kind of think that the word PERFORMANCE is not appropriate for these folks; they are in MINISTRY, to reach others for Christ. I understand that to go to some of these concerts costs like crazy, but I honestly believe that the musicians and singers are in business first and foremost to bring glory to the One who saved them from their sins and covered them in His crimson flow. But yeah Fred, it is a great performance for Jesus.
Jake, Jessy, Rex, so many greats on that stage. As they have passed on one by one, Southern Gospel music has gone the way of “country” music to me. It’s not the same anymore.

Not being Judgmental Yohann Back but they are preaching in song as well as a man standing up there preaching. I have seen more souls saved through song. There is singing ministry as well. I agree folks need to be fed the word but you find they are feeding the word through song as well, and these people are very much anointed and you can feel God through their music and songs. I have to say I love this I feel my God every time I hear it and it was a song that lead my heart to God and I am in the singing ministry. The bible says make a joyful noise unto the Lord and that is exactly what they are doing. Praise God!!!!!!! Go win some souls Hoppers :) Hallelujah

I was raised in a very strict German Baptist church up in Montana & there was ALWAYS an "Invitation" at the closing of the service.....& that softly spoken invitation was spoken over the background of a hymn (often "Just As I Am Without One Plea" & some other very emotional hymns like "Softly & Tenderly, Jesus Is calling" Calling "Oh Sinner ~ Come home"!!! I can close my eyes & hear/see it & the music would move people to answer Jesus' calling to them.....through the MUSIC!!! Psalm 98:4 "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all the Earth....make a loud noise & REJOICE & sing PRAISE!!" Music *IS* ministry too & churches have known that & made the best use of it forever!!! :) God bless us all!!! :)

The Hoppers are still ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! I have seen them several times and am going again in May! THAT KIM HAS THE POWER AND SPIRIT MOVING THROUGH HER! THEY ALL DO! LOVE IT! GREAT SINGING AND MINISTRY! PRAISE GOD FOR THEM! Their music helps me through so much!:)
