An attack by Rapid Support Forces on an open market has killed nearly 56 people and wounded at least 158 more. The attack took place in a market in the Sudanese city of Omdurman and has allegedly overwhelmed the city’s hospitals. The RSF and Sudan’s Army have been locked in a civil war since April 2023. Both sides have been accused of targeting civilians, including health workers.
