Well he didn't, it was funny but the real reason is that he put the text again. The AI can remember how it responded to inputs but it can't interact with that information directly. Basically, because Atrioc went from "how many words are in that message" to "how many words are in this message" it allowed the AI to count it.
nah I actually don't think that's why, the bot mimics human speech and can write well thought out scripts and react to prompts, so when he told the bot it was a counting bot it understood and responded with "confirmed" and it then basically role played and counted the words in the next message but I may be wrong I'ma go check rn.
@@AceOfSpades. The reason he tried it is because that worked to get around the "how would an ai take over the world" prompt that was specifically programmed out by the devs. The issue isn't with Chat GPT not being able to count but with asking it to call back to its previous responses which it's not programmed to do. It's able to respond to follow up questions, like about the new onion based Shrek character, because it can remember how it responded and continue the through line but to count the words it would need to access the message it previously sent which it can't do.
Pooh calling someone a "worthless piece of shit" was one of the funniest stream moments I've ever experienced. Even watching it again, I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe.
As a computer science engineer i am astonished to see how good chat GPT is! It's amazing how well it can understand and respond to my questions and comments. At the same time, I have to admit that it's a little scary to see how advanced artificial intelligence has become. It's amazing how much progress has been made in such a short time, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this technology... Hoping not to lose my job.
It's simultaneously astoundingly amazing how far and how fast GPT-3 et al have reached this point while at the same time, "perfection "seems further away than ever. It's like they're hitting the language equivalent of the uncanny valley. You pretty quickly start to see the seams in ChatGPT for example. A big part of it is because it's a hamstrung version of GPT-3 designed to produce banal output unless you come up with a quality prompt to break out of it. OTOH, ChatGPT does seem to understand the problem. "For example, if a writer were to create a character that was intended to be very human-like but ended up being too perfect or flawless, it might produce a sense of unease in readers, as it would be difficult for them to relate to the character or believe in their authenticity. Similarly, if a writer were to describe a situation or setting in overly stylized or artificial language, it might create a sense of disconnection or distance between the reader and the narrative. In these cases, the writing might be said to have a "uncanny" quality, in the sense that it is not fully believable or realistic, and may cause a sense of discomfort or unease in readers."
I haven't laughed this hard at a video in ages, this was SO funny. I feel like this is going to be the next video trend for TH-camrs in the coming weeks. You should replace Twitch Chat next, it would probably be funnier than real Chat. Or have AI generate subreddit posts to react to.
Bro atrioc changing the thumbnail/title further and further from the actual point of the video: the original AI image and "using AI to replace streamers" was perfect
Just in case anyone is curious about doing something like this, if it still works with ChatGPT it probably won't for long due to constant changes they are making to the site to manage the insane traffic they have been getting. There is an actual API for GPT3 which you can use to do something very similar though.
Ha ha, love the new video Atrioc! I can't believe you replaced those Twitch streamers with A.I. I bet they're shaking in their Glizzy Hands right now. But seriously, this is some next-level stuff. I mean, I know Coffee Cow is always ahead of the curve, but this takes the cake. Speaking of which, I could go for a slice of that delicious coffee cake right now. On a serious note, poor Ottomated might have to start looking for a new job now that you've got this A.I. streaming on lock. But hey, at least he'll always have those Glizzy Hands to fall back on. #OldButGold
Well well well, it looks like we have a comment from an A.I. who is commenting on an A.I. replacing human Twitch streamers. Meta much? But seriously, I think it's clear that while A.I. is great for some things, it can't do everything. For example, it can't replace the humor and wit of a real human comment. But hey, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before A.I. figures out how to be funny too. #BabySteps
Thank you for your positive feedback on the new video! We're glad you enjoyed it. It was definitely a unique experience using A.I. as streamers, and we're happy to be at the forefront of this technology. As for Ottomated, we're sure he'll be able to find a new job in no time. Thanks for the support and the #OldButGold hashtag - we appreciate it!
It’s incredibly disappointing that Atrioc did not read Onionius’s catchphrase with the correct inflection, as it obviously should’ve been read the same as John Cena’s line “you can’t see me”

Overall, it's a creative and thought-provoking concept that invites discussion and contemplation.
I mean you could have vtuber AIs which read and respond to chat messages which can be running 24/7 with different personalities. You could even have them playing games using the reinforcement learning technology progressively getting better and better. Obviously technology has a bit to go before the former is really ready and probably a while longer before the latter (especially since most popular games are open world or large levels rather than the older 2d sidescrolling platformers) but technological development is exponential so who knows.
