Yesterday, I free soloed to retrieve a Frisbee. I didn't do it for fame, so I get that. I don't understand my boys not even filming the epic accomplishment they witnessed. I asked "did you get a shot of that?" They said "dad, get off the roof and don't be weird." In time, they will know.
One of the most impressive things about Alex (aside from his accomplishments) imo is his apparent emotional growth since the movie. Dude seems to have really come out of his shell, which is dope. Get to see another side of an absolute leged.

hes so right about his growth in public speaking....watch his first appearance on rogan and then this and you can really see the improvement in Q &A and story telling
Getting stung on the wall is the worst. I had a red wasp land on me while rappelling. He slowly pushed his stinger in me and pumped away. By the time I made it to the base my arm felt like it was 5 times its size throbbing pain. It was the worst ever. Also had one go in my shirt once while riding a motorcycle and stung me three times before I killed him. Crazy stuff. Alex you’re awesome.
I'm really enjoying climbing podcast venues lately. Cheers on Climbing Gold Alex! I smoked a bit of that airplane dope back in the day. Don't remember for sure, but I think everyone felt sick afterwards. When is the Peter Croft episode Steven? I haven't seen it and can't find it.
Theres also a huge entry-level recognition element to selling the solos in Zion ect. Naming those formations is hard enough for the public let alone routes to non-climbers.
Listening to him talk lightly about what he does makes me think there's something inside his brain that doesn't trigger fear or survival instinct as most of us.
The biggest changer for experts is that they take on much harder things, but they also become blasé. That’s because it’s very hard to stay this concerned when you become an expert, you start to take things for granted you’re not as careful anymore you think you know all the dangers but perhaps for a little bit overweight or you’re really tiredor you don’t plan as carefully that’s really the danger of being an expert it’s the thing that you most have to guard against and I think that’s what we’re talking about here. Alex is a human being and of course we’re all subject to being human beings.
Alex could get a casino to sponsor the most epic indoor climbing structure ever! Make Vegas the destination for pro athletes and climbers. Vegas loves big names...Alex is a big deal.
I was told about a route in the Mourne hills in Ireland. Heavily vegetated, lichen etc.... Counter to the local environmental sentiment someone poured gasoline raw down the line. No lichen. No vegatation. etc.. down a narrow band astride the route. Can't decide what I think of this. It's complex.

Honest interview. The man told you a bighorn sheep trail saved his life and you ask him what his spirit animal is? We need to listen to the answers of the questions we ask.
Confirmed alive! Thank god...Also LOL! I love Alex is like i don't give a fckkkk about any of this..Also the insanity of a man who has done the most dangerous and insane things humanity has ever done is still slightly nervous about public speaking... Beautiful! Also Alex's arms look so fckin jacked jesus lol
His joe rogan interviews aren't memorable, specifically the first one when he was only really famous in the rock climbing world. I remember watching it (it was when i was first starting climbing) and it was inspiring to see him on JRE what seemed like randomly.
@@1234567marks is this a dig at alex? He works all the time, he provides consulting for companies and movies and stuff doing climbing. This is definitely a climber's video! Too much terminology and letters/numbers combinations to confuse a normal everyday person like me! 11b's, 5 whatever... Too much... so many pitches and so on... What the hell is a pitch? Maybe it would make an interesting idea for a video explaining all the climbing terminology in the first few minutes, or comically illustrating what those letters+numbers mean everytime they are mentioned. Maybe entitle it "Climbing for Dummies".

Alex is going to have to go to the wellness clinic to climb a 15. Don't underestimate the power of enhanced pharmaceutical therapy. I dream of being able to afford the wellness clinic like Bezos and Kennedy. It's crazy how much power you can get without gaining a pound or you can actually drop weight and get crazy power. When I was powerlifting at 128lbs, the guys on juice were doing 100lbs more. It's nuts! Ah, memories. Probably better to just stick with IBU. ;-)
It is irresponsible and stupid for someone with a family, wife and children to keep doing stunts, he has to make a living but there are other ways to do that
I respect Alex more than most members of society, he's the definition of determination, will and passion.....but now that he's married with a child, doing the ridiculous things he does starts to enter the realm of reckless and irresponsible. Just ask Alex Lowe.
reckless and irresponsible is fine, let him live his life ;) Ill give you a tip on how to live your life and be truly happy with yourself, "live and let live". live by those words. Buddhism is a beautiful thing.
It’s always good to see Alex, alive and well.
This is an older interview at this point lol

This is one of the most interesting people on the planet.
The more "nervous" he is the deeper his voice, for public speaking above a certain room size he'll basically just be communicating with elephants
