Day by Day, a very beautiful song given by God in my time of lost & distress. He opened up the windows of my eyes to see and weigh the real true meaning of His love through the cross of pain and suffering. Thank you God, from this day on, pain, suffering and the like will not weigh me down but rather will lift me up above ‘cause I see Thy Cross of strenght, hope and salvation. Amen!
This has been my song through 35 years of life threatening illnesses. I found it in the Baptist Hymnal-2nd edition. I immediately took it as mine. The words bring sure peace and assurance of God's love and closeness. He is so faithful- when I can't go on -He carries me. From age 26 to almost 60- I cannot count the times He has intervened to save my life. Really all that matters is that Jesus saved my soul!!
I listen to all this hymns every day when i get up. They have been a great blessing to me, bringing me closer to the Lord and preparing me for the day. Engaging with the words is prayer to me and God ministers his truth to me. Thank you for what you have done here and God bless.

We sang this a lot at my home church during my childhood, Northeast Baptist- the church in the woods in Armistead Gardens of Baltimore, MD. I still can hear in my heart and mind my late grandmother's voice and that of other members, singing it. So many bittersweet memories!

I just moved into a new house, and my sister just met a new friend, her new friends parents are in jail for abuse, and her selfish grandparents take care of her, her 10 year old uncle abuses her, takes her food, and beats her. I felt like something must be done, so I plan on talking with the little girl, win her over to The Lord, the only true place you can ever find comfort, and maybe I can win over her uncle. Nothing is impossible through Christ Jesus. God bless.
