  • In this episode of These Three Things, Deborah sits down with the bilingual writer, director, and educator Sara Lewis. Sara shares the three elements that have profoundly impacted her life and creative journey.
First, she honours her husband Aled, the kindest human she has ever met, whose love and support has transformed her life. Next, she recounts her life-changing experience in Patagonia, a place of astounding natural beauty that helped bring her back to life. Lastly, she talks about her treasured bionic hip, a symbol of resilience that enabled her to pursue her dreams after a challenging health setback.

Thank you so much Debs. I've received the most wonderful messages from former students, ex colleagues, friends and family from all over the world in response to our gorgeous chat. I've spent so long hiding out in a menopause flavoured hidey hole, thinking it was safer to play small and whisper my way through life... and then your invite arrived. As you know, I was reluctant and anxious to accept at first, thinking that nobody would want to listen to me bang on. Thank you SO much for encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone (which actually wasn't that comfortable at all). Doing this feels like having a good ol' stretch after being crumpled up in hibernation for far too long. I feel freed and unleashed 😂😂😂 Woohooo!

That was the most beautiful thing I've seen in a long time. Thank you for sharing and inspiring Debs and Sara.
