    Yep, good review Mark. The only thing holding it back is the price. I still think the $115 is too steep. 👍🏻

    My only worry is how thick the premium is compared the original. When filled out with cards and cash, is it still worth it? I like a nice slim wallet

    I bought my Note Sleeve almost 2 years ago. I’m really happy with my purchase. Might buy myself the premium version or the Slim Sleeve.

  • @gotjazz84

    One thing the original has going for it is that it is really *slim* as the name suggests. Now while measurements are mentioned in the details section I feel like the comparison would have benefitted by showing all three of them loaded with a the same ammount of stuff side-by-side to see how this plays out because this really is a type of wallet people get when they want a bifold but not a constanza type brick. Now of course the different weight of leather is making the premium thicker but it'd be interesting how relevant that is once you put 5-6 cards and maybe 2-3 slips of cash in there. (personally I just decided against the premium edition when choosing a note(!) sleeve because I was afraid the premium would be too thick for me. the regular note sleeve is suprisingly thin for the type of wallet it is but of course has all the same potential quality issues of the regular slim sleeve. It's new still so no complaints so far but I do of course wonder if my choice was correct. meanwhile I really enjoy back pocket carrying and not realizing I'm carrying a wallet at all even when sitting down on uncushioned wood - not sure that would've worked with the premium)

    Great Review. I recently treated myself to the Bellroy Card Pocket and Slim Sleeve. I prefer the original Slim Sleeve to the Premium and Designer model as I like the Cut inside for the card slots better. The Designer does look really nice design and feel though.

    Great review of the differences. I'd probably go for the original. The Designer and Premium are just too pricey for me. I'm still trying to decide between the Bellroy original and the Akeeni XSTO. Amazon shows one Bellroy Slim Sleeve color for $65, and others $79. Not sure what the differences are because they're all listed as "Slim Sleeve."

    Mark, what do you think about the Bellroy's price point? Is it justified given the quality of the product? I've always wanted to get the slim sleeve, but i've always balked at the price, given you've done reviews for other wallets which have the same kind of features and footprint, but don't carry the heavy cost. So does the quality warrant the premium?

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they're a bit high. If we could get the Premium wallet at the Original price, that would be aligned well.

    I don't know. I feel like they are having feature/aesthetic creep. I have had the original for about a year now. No signs of wearing out in any area. I think even if it breaks, I would probably stick with the original. The added weight, thickness, and price just don't thrill me.

    • @FreezieX17
      @FreezieX17 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How many cards and how much cash do you put in your wallet? I'm considering either the original or the premium. The only deterrent for me is the fact that the premium seems like it gets a lot more thick when filled out with every-day stuff. I carry about 7-8 cards and one or two slips of cash

    • @Son_Of_Atreides
      @Son_Of_Atreides 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FreezieX17 I keep 2 cards on the cash side. 1 card on the pull tab side. Then no more than 4 slips of cash. All the 'thin' cards, like car & medical insurance, go in the pull tab slot. I would say it handles that easily, and isn't stretching. You can see the pull strap on the backside, because I often put in my back pocket.

    • @FreezieX17
      @FreezieX17 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Son_Of_Atreides you think it should be okay with 7-8 cards? It's quite pricey so I'd rather not get it in my hands and be disappointed with the thickness compared to my current wallet

    • @Son_Of_Atreides
      @Son_Of_Atreides 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FreezieX17 I can count the total I have later (outside with the kids enjoying some nice weather). If you didn't put in cash, 7 would be easy. 2 in each quick slot is very possible. I think you could do 7 even with the cash if you did that.

    • @Son_Of_Atreides
      @Son_Of_Atreides 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I have 1 regular card and 6 thin cards in the pull tab side. Plus 1 in the slot on that side. So I think 3-4 regular cards could easily fit on that side with one in the slot. One or two more in the opposite slot, plus some cash would be 7 cards + cash. So I'd say you can do it.
