  • In this video I show the setup of a Jane Kits zinc electroplating kit using a MP-3842 power supply. I purchased the kit myself, I'm pretty impressed with the results.

Thanks for posting that up mate, it was really helpful. Im gonna need a bigger shed before I go down this path! I underestimated how much space it would take up.

Hi mate, glad that i found your channel, i bought the gold jane kit platting, but i honestly have no idea how to set it up. The booklet confused the hell out of me. Can you please help me out on how to set it up? i tried to get in contact with them i had no luck they're not very helpful.

I have never used the gold plating kit. My instructions for the zinc plating kit were a bit difficult to follow in some places. I suggest contacting Jane Kits, I think they only take calls during business hours.

I cannot for the life of me work out how to adjust the amps, even after doing as you suggested. I have emailed Jane kits hopefully they can help.

Seriously Creative If the power supply is producing no power at all, it might be possible the power supply has tripped, waiting a bit will allow the thermal overload to reset. Hopefully Jane Kits can help you, I know Jaycar electronics sell the same power supply they might be willing to help. I'm pretty sure my power supply didn't have an instruction manual so I figured out how to use it by searching the model number.

I let the parts dry and wait for the liquid to evaporate on its own before touching.
