Interesting behavior. The mini wants to be the boss, but the big horses aren't moving their feet for him. He's getting frustrated that they don't seem to understand that he's the boss. Note, the donkey moves when the mini asks him to, and there's no excitement between them. In the world of horses, the one that makes the other move its feet is dominant.

Lol, awww! Bless Bandit. And hahaha!! Thats so funny...my pony is maybe just a little bigger than him and was a stud till he turned 2yrs and a half...and he couldn't make a niose that high pitched even if he tried. XD
It's funny how only horses do that behavior and I've never figured out what they are communicating when they do it, other than it seems to be an excited greeting. Maybe that is all it is. Stallions meeting other stallions seem to be the ones who do it most.

@87doofer this is actually normal behavior when introducing horses. they establish a pecking order, and squealing and such behavior as that is normal. hes a cute little bossy-britches though lol
LOL he's acting like he'd totally take on everyone of those big guys lol he's picking a fight stallion style! He's lucky that gate is there. Shetlands in my experience anyway, have usually been pretty darn spunky like that. Seems like that with a lot of small domestic animal breeds.
