Agreed. It's far too easy for the contenders in this revival.
With the standard of contenders in this series they need to make it 5 Gladiators
It terms of width its around the same size as it was in the Original UK Gladiators so I don't see anything wrong with that
I just think the Gladiators need a lot more practice at this event & also they should be allowed to start in the middle of their sector rather than their white line

As for the game potential improvements:
40 m too short for all 4 zones. Needs at least 80m -to double the length of each zone and make it a lil wider. ( half a person width) and shorten the time 30 seconds to 20 secs.
Also reintroduce the rule that zone 1 gladiator is allowed to continue in zone 2, and 3 and 4 so wen they are in zone 4 the contestant faces 4 gladiators potentially. The only exception to this shud be if Mark Rattenberg stops thw game and restarts in a diff zone, (e.g zone 3 , where gladiator from 1 and 2 auto cant resume.)
In the contestants favour in return :
-Gladiators to only contact via hand weapon shud be allowed and any sort of grab via hands or shove out of the edge considered unsafe and an auto disqualification.
Its a great event and with the right teething, camera effects and the right lighting this event be even more mega.

It's not often that the referee has to calm the contenders down and Viper has anger issues too and Legend had to CHEAT TO BEAT JAKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
Ikr, Viper being angry I'm used to but Jake?!? Honestly what is going on? And why did Legend feel the need to cheat?? Literally it's not that hard, just play by the rules

There will always events that sometimes favour Contenders more than Gladiators, that's what keep the show all-round entertaining

It looks like they had Jake really depressed last night and those gladiators really got aggressive and real anger last night and mark clatnburn had to say to everyone calm down
I think it went wrong for him after THE EDGE, he scored 0 POINTS whereas CHUNG got THE MAXIMUM 18 POINTS so that put Jake far behind after that
The gladiators are just to soft, the wall is just to easy for the contenders.

You will not get pyramid anymore lots of injuries. The Edge replaced the other one.

I suspect the 'heat' is sometimes scripted to boost ratings - but Jake is a rare example of a contender looking genuinely angry

Sad to say this series has got stale quickly. Next series needs more games, more gladiators, better atmosphere in the arena, new presenters and half the current games need reworking, especially Gauntlet.
The announcer says "this feels real." It looks real phony.

Legend needs to learn to behave himself as well, because A: When Jake left his zone, he carried on to fight him anyway
B: He lied to Bradley about not cheating
C: He argued with Mark Clattenberg, who clearly makes the rules of this game, and he did not accept that he cheated and did not take responsibility for his actions
And D: He claimed "The entire gauntlet is my zone" when he clearly has Viper Phantom and Giant helping him, which counts as negligence towards them

It used to be brilliant. But I only got recommended this clip. And it was shite.

Condolences to those who think this modern version of Gladiators is good. The original is way better than this rubbish. This is just tv filler. BBC needs to do the right thing and scrap it.
