I love the fact that Matt (Legend) almost breaks character every time I see him. You can tell he's having the time of his life, and is actually a really cool bloke underneath the character.
I just watched the new ep on iplayer. I didn't know Matt was on the show. Been subscribed since had a few thousand followers. Really surprised and happy he's made it. 😃
Legend/Matt is literally overshadowed by the massive, musclebound Giant. Especially when the big guy stood up and did that huge lat-spread. All Matt could do was gaze up in awe at the big man. No wonder he quickly looks down at the floor, he knows he can't begin to compete. Completely out muscled by him! 💪

I can’t wait to see Gladiators BACK on Saturday night television at the new arena home in Sheffield Arena and in the new channel home on BBC One in Autumn 2023 for the first time in 23 years since the last ever episode of the original series on Gladiators came to an end on ITV on the 1st January 2000. Gladiators in the BBC One series will be better than the crap reboot series in the Sky original.

Watched it with my three young boys. Great family viewing. Teaching discipline and dedication to strength & fitness. I was surprised how it hasn’t been woked up.
If I were able to pick it, it would be Nigel Owens he's a retired Rugby union referee, he's used to referring big people, and he's used to being on TV, having been on Welsh television a lot including hosting a quiz show, plus he has a great sense of humour.

They were steroid using bodybuilders then, and they’re the same steroid using bodybuilders now. Beauty standards have changed though in regard to the women, they all have big legs and asses now and small upper body’s which is on trend nowadays. The women in the 90s had more of an athletic/toned look.

It’s panto. The original series had “Wolf” who was the bad guy that got booed and revelled in it. He was a fan favourite. Matt doesn’t have the acting skill to pull this off, and seems shifty and nervous.
Giant never ever skips tren day. Shadow got banned back in the day for gear use on the original Gladiators. How long before Giant does or are we ignoring it now
I can’t see this show lasting that long at all either. It’s going to be another trial and error and I strongly believe they should never have ended the show to begin with. They should’ve just admitted to past errors and apologised and kept the original genuine gladiators whilst axing the cheats, then gradually we would’ve warmed to gladiators coming and going. This new look don’t come anywhere near the original show that will never be beat.

It was a good show. Went twice this week. The arena is much smaller than you'd expect it to be. Looks much bigger on the tv.
