I agree with Klgray, I remember back in the 70's when gumboot dancing starting to come over to the US from the South African diamond mines. But there are forms of men's dancing like this all over the world: the Hungarians and Rumanians have really strong dances and chants similar to these. Of course, you don't get the rhythm like you do from Africa.
