I'm from South Sudan. But, I grew up in the streets of Nairobi. I visit it often for holidays. It's a great city to be in. Cheers, enjoy your time there.
SOR'rel drink..trying to write it in a way you could ronounce it more like us caribbean folks, is made from the "flower/bud" of the tree , we remove the "leaves" of the flower and soak it or boil it, it can also be dried and later boiled like you can dry tea leaves and make the drink or tea. Biggup !
Living in SA myself but been to Kenya a lot. Love Nairobi and the coastal areas but in Kenya they do not use to much heat I noticed mostly they have it separate next time just ask them for some chopped chillies that is what I did most of the times when visiting KE.
According to the research i been doing they say agriculture is #1 invest in modern processing facilities for horticulture establish large scale tea 🍵 plantations contribute to building better irrigation systems for cold storage facilities and transportation networks to facilitate timely deliveries 🚚 and reduce post harvest losses.
It depends if I do longer stays or shorter ones. For longer stays I can usually negotiate a discount. Short stays? It's usually 45-75 usd a night depending on the country. Of course you could easily pay much less than that or 2x that, depending on your needs and expectations.
What is your favorite thing about Nairobi? Let me know below!
The people and cool weather.
