We need more honest plumbers like Steve. We need more plumbers, period. People like Steve STAY busy because they are honest. Language doesn't matter, the kids couldn't hear him.
I love watching your videos.. I am a do it yourselfer and will do just about any job, did even my hot water heater and pellet stove , but I would never touch my oil furnace except to change the air filter (to much of a risk if I screw it up), but I love to see you work on oil and gas furnaces to just see how the work, it is amazing ....
Merry Christmas Steve ! I agree about the shitshow, and wish a unit would just plain fail every time to avoid having to tell the customer "I don't know for sure". That's no fun.
@@mph5896are you really sure about that? Because he didn’t even have time to check voltage before the meter turned on the valve. Considering this guys been doing this over 40 years and isn’t afraid to say how it is. You’ll just end up changing something that might be good lol
I wouldn't have replaced it either. I would have wanted to see the 24 volts at the valve and it not opening. Been there done the guess and check and the assumptions and been bit in the a** more than once. Intermittent problems are a PITA, especially when you can't duplicate it.
I can get a deal on an American Standard 80% 80000 that will slide right in where my old furnace is. 2 stage, ecm fan motor. New old stock for $800. Take it and run?
When you deal with "intermittent", you have to take the connectors off and inspect them for loose wires or bad connections. It's also a good idea to buy spare parts like a new gas valve, because it it fails, it will be on the coldest day of the year...Just a thought...

Can hear kids playing in the background…Steve “look at this fuckin thing”. Lol😂
Maybe the kids will use that phrase over Christmas dinner. You know they're like little tape recorders.
They must have been desperate letting Steve in when there were kids there 🤣

It is not a hot water heater. If the water is hot it doesn't need to be heated.
Merry Christmas steve and miss molly

He saw enough to replace the gas valve and clean the flame sensor.

@@JaredHeatherington I feel so. Placing pressure on the meter connections shifted the internal pins on the gas valve.

@@mph5896 you feel isn’t a sure answer man as much as I know ur trying. You need a definite answer with proof or you are truly a parts changer
steve merry x mas from leak master plumbing
how can it be the flame sensa, if there is no flame, mama?

Absolutely.
I've never heard of a 110-volt gas valve on a furnace. does that even exist?
UNCLE STEVE IS WORKING AGAIN YALL!! 💪🏼
Did you get your daughter and grand kids anything for christmas?
1st ?
Nope
Turns in to a s-show as kids play near by. lol
Back when York actually made decent furnaces. They have to be the worst manufacturer now.
