You get more of a sense of what she may really be like. Perhaps she'd had a couple of drinks, or was more relaxed around him...

People would spend a fortune and travel to get 5 minutes with her. If I'm ever fortunate enough to ever meet her I'd be secretive and quiet about it. Love Enya! 😍💟☺
It seems a bit embarrassing that the interviewer didn't know how to pronounce her name in the Irish language. To the point (0:55) where she gets a bit fed up trying to explain to him. He then persists with his idea that she has two different names, where her correct pronunciation of her name is a stage name and (most people's) incorrect pronunciation is her real name, and maybe she has two different personalities to go with these two names? And she has to assure him she has always only had one "real" name is and she is pronouncing it correctly (1:12).

The guy interviewing her is a jerk but she sure is young and gorgeous. It’s interesting how she always talks about touring but has never done it. It seems like only yesterday that she burst on the scene in the late 80’s but now she’s almost 60. We’ve all gotten old.
The 'guy' is a famous musician in Ireland you jerk! She has 12 cats, a huge staff plus a house in Cannes and a castle in Ireland. Her records are over produced and that never works live.
@@roshi7025 Didn’t know who the guy was, sorry. I think the largest cities have great symphony orchestras and even choruses that touring artists perform with. It probably would work and be enjoyed by her fan base. It’s a shame that it hasn’t been attempted.

No, that's a Donegal accent. She ditched nothing, she got worldly famous and still visits her family. She was way too famous to be on that cringe show.
She didn't "ditch" them. She developed her own voice, name, image and style. She herself said it.. "It was time for me to have my own career". She tired of being the "kid sister', so when she was approached to work exclusively with Nicky and Roma Ryan in developing music for film, she jumped on it, since she was classically trained. As it would turn out, she wouldn't be a concert performer, but essentially a studio performer/international artist. As such, she adapted to the WORLD stage. I mean, getting to play before dignitaries, royalty and the Pope(!), that's some accomplishment!

She lives in a castle in peace away from nut cases, she knew people were idiots and decided to stay away from them, it is people on Social media constantly filming themselves that are unhinged, Enya was ahead of her time and is wise. She's inspired.

Another point, her lyrics. I get Roma is a poet, and they sing in different languages or even a made up language they did for May It Be for Lord of the Rings. But have you actually listened closely to her lyrics? Sometimes is so hard to know what she's saying because of all the overlapping. For example, Orinoco Flow, there's a line she says "feel the power of Babylon". In all 3 connected religions Judaism, Christianity, and Islam Babylon was a place where evil was spread. Black magic and pagans. So why is enya saying to feel it's power? Caribbean Blue, same thing. She's not humming, she's singing the name of pagan gods. If you go more into detail it's all very messed up. Someone should do a documentary on her lyrics alone.
She was SO beautiful and gorgeous. She reminds me of Maureen O'Hara. I don't know why I don't hear people talk about her beauty more often.
