So i think it’s just my lack of wiring knowledge but just the thought of having to cut those wires and reattach them is making my head spin. Could you guys please make an up-close video on how you cut them and safely reattach them together so that nothing bad happens? 😅😅
I installed these using the standard switch that comes attached to the wiring harness. Everything works but my switch stays illuminated even when the truck is off. Is that ok?
Can you do a video using the TRD OR prewired AUX switches in the same location using the adapter plug that came with the vehicle on purchase? Im waiting to purchase these lights once i know i can utilize the Aux switch instead of buying the add-on OEM switch.
I wouldn’t use those for these lights I would use those for like a light bar or something more annoying to wire up cause you only get 3 and there pre installed in certain places one is near the windshield wiper reservoir
@@CaliRaisedLEDdid you ever make a video on how to wire these to the factory aux switches on a TRD OR premium package? I purchased the lights but have no idea how to install them to the factory switches
Why would you do all this? Toyota provides pigtail wires that plug into a connector in the engine bay specifically for this, you do not need to run these wires to the switch it's self. I have these ditch lights plugged into the AUX pigtails provided and it works flawlessly
Only higher trim levels come with Aux switches. We offer oem style switches for the user to install on their Tacoma if they choose not to use the oem ones provided in some models. Plus those Aux switches are only 5-15Amps, which arent suitable for all lights!
Can I use a fuse tap connected to an ACC fuse (or something similar) and connect that to the red power (battery) cable instead of connecting it to the battery?
All lighting requires a big enough power source to turn the lights on. An accessory power would not be enough for these lights, we recommend using the battery/a big enough power source!
@@CaliRaisedLED I see! Any chance you guys will sell a pre-wired version of these ditch lights? Would love to buy them, but I'm just not handy enough or have the tools needed to follow this video 😅😅😅
I just installed mine pretty simple the hardest part in my opinion was getting the switch in the cab ,but after testing it they turned on then once I tucked the wires away and reconnected them they stopped working the switch is getting power but lights aren’t coming on :(
Speaking from experience, this kit is amazing, and easy to install!
Thanks so much, we are glad it was easy for you to install!
@@CaliRaisedLED how did you open the panel to add the switch?
Good video
What about the relay you mention in the beginning but at the end are you just tucking it away with the rest of the extra wire
Either tuck it away, tie it, or bolt it down in the engine bay.
I installed the lights and it was easy. Thanks to this instructional video 👍 great job!
Glad to hear!
do you have one for 2024+ land cruiser?
Unfortunately not yet!

agreed!
Doubtful this video is half ass.

That should be fine! It wont pull enough power to hurt the vehicle.

We might be able to in the future! We wont have an OR at the moment but can look into it.
Definitely need to make a video using the aux switches

@@sethn8021 We have one! Shoot me an email info@caliraisedled.com
Please show how you took the dash apart, to access the stock switch. Thank you. I just ordered this same kit for my 2024 Tacoma.
The side dash (where the buttons are located) just pops off with a few tabs, two on top and two on the bottom!
@@CaliRaisedLED is there. a way to show how I cant figure it out
Yea that would be helpful to show it all step by step since there aren’t instructions provided!

Doesn't the 2024 tacoma come with a fuse box for auxilliarly iteems to just plug into, and is already connected to the aux switch in the driver side?
Some might- but this model does not. This will most likely be available in the higher models- like PRO and Trailhunter.

@@nicholo85 Our ditch lights come with a wiring harness and switches!
My off road with upgrade package has them but I’m going to use them for grill lightbar roof rack and possible tire inflator
@@CaliRaisedLED Amazing! Is it pre-wired or will I need to do the wiring myself?
how do you open the panel for the oem switch?
I pulled on mine pretty hard and it pulled out but you can use a trim remover to do it easily
