- We recently released a captivating video exploring the tallest buildings ever featured in fictional works, and the response in the comments section has been nothing short of electrifying. In hindsight, I realize I should have referred to this topic as "the tallest buildings in fiction" to better align with the variety of examples available. Nevertheless, the audience has voiced their preferences loud and clear, prompting us to move forward with a second installment focused on the community's top picks for the tallest structures in imaginative narratives. For those who missed the first part, I encourage you to check out our channel and immerse yourself in the incredible world of towering edifices crafted by creative minds. Stay tuned for Part 2, where we'll delve into the remarkable designs that have captured the imaginations of viewers everywhere!
Love the mention of AC6, the scale of that game is genuinely insane. That one ship that’s flying into the side of the vascular plant id big enough to fit the entirety of the Elden Ring map on just the back disk area of it.
Fun fact about the Imperial palace in 40K: It used to cover entire Europe, then it was retconned (sp ?) to be in Asia/Himalayas.
Huge respect for actually making a follow up video.
You missed another one from D&D you should probably investigate.
In the the Eberron campaign setting there is Sharn the city of towers.
If you fall from a bridge in the upper reaches you generally have a few minutes of falling before you go splat.
But its not several kilometres tall though
@@arte0021 It has to be, because even if you fall for only one whole minute you fall 17651.97m. s = 0.5 * g * t² with g=9.80665 m/s²
What about the megastructure in BLAME! ? It includes an empty sphere the size of Jupiter.
We don’t know How tall is it really, also its more of a wide one
@ Unknown heights do not appear to be a reason to exclude structures in this video. And if the megastructure I mentioned is really spherical then the whole „wide or tall“ debate turns into hairsplitting as either are exchangeable.
@@ununterhaltsam maybe he just forgot but even based on the fact it contains Jupiter it should be considered one of the largest
I think that may not be technically a building, but a separate thing, a megastructure no less
@ could be said of hive cities in 40k and the tower in tower of god too, both featured in the list.
Love it, thank you for the follow up!
Bionicle mention 😌
AWESOME! You do read the comments. Ty for these amazing videos m8.
How about a video about the biggest water vehicles and ships in fiction? I give a suggestion and a honored mention:
Suggestion: Oarai School Ship (Girls und Panzer)
Honored Mention: Freedom Ship (Real Life Proposal)
I would like to nominate the Grand Canon from Robotech/Macorss. While it doesn't go up into the sky, it goes down in to the Earth. It's spans on 1km wide and 5/6km deep.
The Colosseum is so massive that Drs Grant, Satler, and Mr Hammond had to stare in awe.
I estimate Ivory Tower in 86 km tall(Taller than Zunesha & Aldoron) using Falkor size
Wait a minute some actually mentioned Bionicle?? Is this a blessing?
Make a part 2 of giant robots with some robots like:
Giant F3 and Titan G9 from Mazinger Z(Both 100 m tall)
Robot Probe from Monsters vs Aliens(109 m tall according to IMBD)
Mechagodzilla From Monsterverse
Giant Eggman Robot from Sonic 2(Althought they say that is 640 m is a exxageration because only towers the half of the pine trees i estimate it on 200 m)
Shikoutazer from Akame Ga Kill(500 m)
Infinity from Mazinger Z Movie(600 m)
And Many more
You just straight up made up a number for that Mega Man one
Some of the ones I saw discussed are mega structures and are not the same as a literal building like the burj khalifa. Like the xeelee disk isn’t a building
the three super powers Orbital Elevators that was linked together at the top as a massive ring surrounding the Earth from Mobile Suit Gundam 00.
It isn't confirmed to be a tower, but I imagine it is so the Backrooms could be included here since it has around 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 (eighteen and a half quintillion) levels with many of them being super tall, so safe to say it's pretty big
Is it certain those aren’t just a case of “it’s bigger on the inside”?
@magicmulder maybe, nothing has been confirmed yet though. Also the Backrooms exist in a reality of its own so space wouldn't be an issue
This comment section would have exploded if you didn't mention hive cities from 40k. 😆
You didn't watch previous video?
i found this video but its not on fiction th-cam.com/video/KN0_WdenNXc/w-d-xo.html
@@TheArklyte he literally mentioned the previous video.
Lord Valentine Castle on the planet Majipoor.
Book is Lord Valentine Castle.
great!!
RAINWORLD MENTIONED!!
what about
the ladder to heaven (from south park)
the silver spire (dc heaven)
the spire in hell from sandman (dc hell)
pretty much anything in the dreaming that is said to be infinite in size
I didnt realise the Fang was that big
I wish you had aborted the mega structures from the book 3001 the final odyssey, I found them fascinating
What about oggy's house
5:45 Wh40k Always come back
the Vertical World (Tate no Kuni) - please check it out
Wandering Earth, Phineas and Ferb...
Do make biggect creatures from disney movies include disney channel please!!
and No Mention of The Scarif Citadel Tower still
Hello again boy.
make top cryptids from africa make!
My mind, during the video: I'm stealing those ideas.
i dont think tower of god is that big, it has 136 floors and each floor is the size of a continent, that would make the tower at least 980,000km tall.
the number one must be blame's city, the city is actually a giant Dyson sphere that reaches at least as far as Jupiter’s orbit, giving it a radius of nearly 780 million kilometers.
The city in Blame is essentially a space megastructure and not a building based on a planet anymore.
I loved The Night Land. Its style is steeped in pseudo-archaism but is extremely interesting to read about the bleak future world presented.
Told yah I’d seen bigger 😂
😄😄😄
Still not seeing how anything beats the Spire from Planescape, which is not just practically, but literally, infinite in height.
First
Also I felt like mentioning that other sci-fi franchises have space elevators like the one you mentioned from mega man. Star Trek is the first one that comes to mind.
