The Sideways Celica was my first Group 5 car and my first sideways car. The Blue one. What a beast. I love it. So much I bought the white one too and will most likely get this one.
Sideways cars are simply a joy to drive, they do feel like a real turbo car in they way the accelerate and lift the front, love them and will need to order a Celica now...
Oh yeah Buddy! And wasn't there a Paul Newman Z on the track with that bad boy? Would those look sweet on the layout 🤠!! How about making that so Number One!
Nice car, we have a group 5 championship at the club , the M1 rules the roost, be nice to run this to be different, even if it wasn't the fastest. Gets boring to see six of the same car on the grid I think, out of sixteen entrants for classic, nine run a Matra. Thanks Dave, any update on the Thunderslot Shelby yet.
Lately Scalextric cars have gone up in price about $15 in my shop. I'll still buy some of them but for that increase in price I can just spend another $20-25 to upgrade to one of the upscale cars like this. Does anyone make a 288GTO? Also, did you unbox or review the 79 Z/28? Did I miss it?
Love the Sideways cars! I might just have to get this one, I don't have a Celica yet.
UNBOXING TIME!!!!!! Agreed, I like most of the Group 5 / IMSA GTO (GTU) cars of the of the 70's and 80's. Thank you Dave!
I was like in 2nd grade when the real car was competing.
Hi Robert I also have the M1 BMW in Sideways. Also a very nice car and very quick. Enjoy!!

The BMW 320 turbos are extraordinary as are the Skylines

Those 76/77 Celica Liftbacks ( The Japanese Mustangs ) were my favorite models . I'll be getting this one and some more of the Group 5 wide body cars
Nice sound effects

I hope Carrera get this in 132 scale.. Nice car
How's does it compared to bmw m1?
How does the Sideways car measure up side by side with the MRRC car??
I can do a video about that. Do you have the MRRC?
@@SlotCarNewsOfficial Yes...I bought the red Rodenstock #6 and I have the #68 also.
Indy grips IG5006 work great on my Policar track.
Hopefully we will see a IMSA Roush Mustang from Sideways soon... but think the BMW M1 will be my first car from them.... anyone have one?
