Whatever gripe most people have about YGE “forcing” their vocalists to prioritize uniqueness, you have to admit that it really kinda works? Rose has her signature way of singing songs, that instantly make you think only Rose can sing it that way. She may not know herself as a songwriter yet (just based on the Light Up The Sky docu), but she definitely knows herself as a singer.

Through this show, I can see how amazing and unique the Rosé's voice is. Actually I didn't know about Rosé and Blackpink before, one day when I heard her cover a John Mayer song (because I love that John's song), then I continued listening her cover of Paramore song, wow, my tears almost falled, it touched my heart so much (I really love music and listen to music almost 8 hours a day, but I only have this feeling with some my favorite bands like Coldplay and One Ok Rock). Up until now, Rosé and her voice were completely stuck in my head all day. Thanks for her music, it helps me a lot in this life. Wish she well, healthy, love Rosé, love Blackpink, love everyone.
I’m not a fan of KPop and the last I actually listened to a song was around the 2NE1 era and I just wasn’t keen on K-pop. I was listening to John Mayer’s Slow Dancing In A Burning Room and was trying to find a female version karaoke. Then I keep seeing Rosé’s karaoke version so I searched it. I listened to Rosé’s cover and I loveeeee it. The next thing I know, I’m neck deep listening to all her covers. I haven’t listened to a BlackPink song except for the one with Selena Gomez. I love Rosé’s voice tho. The only K-pop singer I stan ❤️
