I really appreciate your tutorials. Your calm down to earth speaking style is so relaxing. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve started another channel’s tutorial and the person has a high pitched spastic speaking style and I immediately stop the video😆🙏🏼✨

Perhaps you've done these topics before but often they get buried over time- I haven't seen them & I always appreciate a review on complicated subjects like this so THANK YOU very much!!💜

Thank you. I have your book and watch you on youtube and to my total amazement I can see that I can actually paint. I never thought I would get beyond drawing stick men. You are a good teacher.

One of the aspects I love about you sharing the importance of color theory is discovering how my skills from my former career in the ‘90s-‘00s as a production/manufacturing editor for 4- and 5-color books. I’m a journalist now, but everything was about CMYK and Pantone once upon a time. I’m a beginner in watercolor and your videos not only feel encouraging but it makes me fondly remember how much I loved the process. You are an excellent teacher. Thank you.

this is SO helpful! I'm especially excited about the Opera Rose-Sap Green bit. thank you. I also love that in this vid you use Winsor&Newton colors (even though you've since migrated to another brand), since that's what I've been using since I began my watercolor journey a few months ago. It makes the whole color thing much more accessible. You really hit on all the important points, and I love being your student!

This is useful information that I have been looking for lately. I have watched some of your previous video tutorials, things are going very well. I usually practice right after watching your tutorials. A little knowledge every day is good to me.

It’s nice when you put good vibes out there by mentioning other artists to follow (prior videos). Was just watching Emma Le Vave (sp) and she is doing a video on water color books and your two books popped up 1st and 2nd. It’s just awesome to see artists supporting each other.

Thanks, Jenna! This was fun to see the different color combinations you can make. Love seeing how you can make a color darker other than adding black.
Still not sure that I understand a cool and dark color. I’ll keep trying! 😊

Brownish purple - I would call that "Plum" or maybe "Raisin" if it was dark. Years ago I had a "Plummy Brown" lipstick (can't recall what brand); wonderful color & I would buy it again now it it was available. Thanks Jenna! :-)

Would you ever make acrylic or oil tutorials? I haven’t found too many people really taking their time to deeply dive into these mediums. Maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places! :p
And thank you for inspiring me to get back into painting. Watercolor is just so amazing to start stepping back into holding the brush again.

Do you have any videos on matching colors? That is something I struggle about, that you mention here. Looking at a color and identifying all of its characteristics. I’m guessing this takes practice but it is not easy for me. I would love to watch you match some colors- say from a photo or a plant/flower- in a video to show us how you do it.

I have a video of mixing a color palette off of a reference photo, it’s the closest thing I have to what you’re looking for. BUT, I do have a color matching video on my to-do list, so be on the lookout! Here’s the vid I mentioned: th-cam.com/video/1z8Z6ky8SLo/w-d-xo.html

This is exactly what I need right now. I've been doing an in-person watercolor workshop but every time I ask the instructor how to mix a particular shade she just hands me a tube with the shade. Not really helpful for when I'm at home trying to paint.

Hello and thankyou. :) I am a new beginner, may I ask what paper you are using. The paper I am using is Fabriano studio watercolor, hot press 25% cotton, but it barely absorbs paint, and is hard to get the tea & coffee etc to look different. It is quite frustrating when I see the paper you are using. Thank you for your time.
