This is a song with all their struggles thru the years, and how ARMY has made them more than they were (seven boys)...they did this one specifically for ARMY. The different scenes are from their MVs. The color purple is important....All the purple dots are ARMYs. When this came out, it was their 7 year anniversary since their debut, so yes, the 7 years in the song is referring to how long they've been officially a group. Don't worry about not knowing stuff...ARMY will let you know, lol. Also, side note: we don't mind long vids about BTS....we will watch!!!

All scenes in this MV are the mix of all BTS MV scenes and some of their performance, this song is like their journey for the past 7 years, and we can say this song is BTS love and thankful letter to ARMY.
"We were only seven" - they started as 7 boys, "but we have you all know" is BTS who have ARMY beside them now, so they are no longer 7 anymore because ARMY will always be with BTS forever.

"7"- you are right! This was released on their Map of the Soul 7 album commemorating 7 years together as BTS. "7" is also the number of members in the group. They only had each other fighting against the industry in the beginning but with their growing Fandom, ARMY, by their side they can withstand anything. They always let ARMY know that we can face any challenges as well because they have our back providing inspiration, positivity and strength to get through hardship.

I'm still getting goosebumps everytime I watch this video of them !
Basically the images are from their music videos, short films, specific occasions and depicts their journey, their hardships and struggles from debut until the present time (7th anniversary). This MV is very emotional, full of references and symbolisms that only ARMYs will understand.
Also their concerts. The outfit and purple ocean.
Virtually every scene is from a music video along their seven year time line. Some of them you have seen.
Don’t know if you realized but all of the characters were walking through the previous MV sets. Schoolbus and boxes was No More Dream, and so on :)
Also all the purple dotties/stars at the end represent their fans🥰💜

The ON:E online concert was a mess the first night when Jimin broke down in tears right before this song. He was really upset, frustrated and was having a hard time coping with Covid being an evil bitch preventing him from seeing ARMY in person. I know it's going to be even more emotional for everyone when it's finally an in person concert.

They debuted in 2013, so at the time this was made it was 7 years. And it was made for 2020 BTS FESTA, which is there yearly fan gathering/celebration. There are a lot of songs created for ARMY.

After you guys do some documentaries you should also start watch their MVs in order of release date. This MV was made for ARMY and came out on their 7yr anniversary date from when BTS Debuted. It starts off with RM in their old practice room (if you react to any of their older dance practices you will recognize it) and he sees his younger self in the mirror and than the MV starts going through some of their MVs that they have done over the yrs. "No more Dream", "We are Bulletproof pt2", "N.O.", "Danger", "I Need U", "Run", "Forever Young", "Not Today", "Spring Day", "Blood, Sweat, and Tears", "Boy With Luv" (I think I am missing some) but you get the point. Anyway, it is a beautiful song and BTS has expressed so many times how much they love ARMY and how ARMY has gotten them through their tough times when they were on the verge of giving up. What BTS does for ARMY is something that I have never seen any other artist do for their fans, one of many reasons why I love these guys. You guys might need to make BTS reaction at least 2 days a week..haha..they have so much content. Good luck! I am enjoying watching you guys reactions. Sorry this is so long 😐

This song is dedicated to ARMY. It was released the day before their 7th Anniversary/birthday. The music video shows their past music videos and hardships. The video ended with them during Boy With Luv era and I think it’s because that was the last time they spent time with ARMY in person before the pandemic. Well that’s my guess on the ending scene.

Okay, if you're going to take a drive in some part of the country that you don't know, you wouldn't go in blind. You would have some idea where you're going. You would have searched a bit before you start. You would still have a fresh experience, but you would also have context to put that first experience into.
I think doing research before you react is a great idea. You will give context to the experience that you have. It will be a richer experience for you, and more fun for us to see you make your discoveries.
Let me give you a different metaphor. I think you would agree that when you're watching a sport, it's no fun watching people make unforced errors.
