I'm so sorry that you had such a bad week last week. I hope this song brought you at least a little comfort. BTS is not alone and neither are you. They have us, we have them and we have each other. They released this video for Festa 2020, during the worst of the pandemic, when everyone was isolated and locked down. Damn near everyone who watched the video cried at seeing all of the reminders of their past and the acknowledgement of how much ARMY means to BTS. Even when we're lost and at our lowest, they have gifted us with songs like, 2!3!, Zero O'Clock, Bulletproof: Eternal, Louder Than Bombs, and so many others to let us know that we are loved, appreciated, and never truly alone. The love they show to army always melts my heart 💜💜
They even showed Yoongi holding on to his shoulder at one point in the MV to represent how he struggled through with a shoulder injury for so many years. He finally got surgery within the past year or two.
I remember he talked on vlive about how he had to get injections either during or after concerts just to help with the pain from dancing so much with the injury. 😭
Edit: My sincere condolences for your loss. I'm glad you could find a smile and some joy listening to this. I remember when the tracklist was released, we all expected a hip hop sister to follow We Are Bulletproof pt. 2. And then the album dropped and ARMY collectively just sobbed. I will always cry when I hear it. It means so much to us. They love us so much, just as much as we love them. We are together Bulletproof. 💜💜💜

I hope you know that you have us all now, and we love you. You're true ARMY, and you're a living example of all the love and welcoming spirit that you talk about. The guys have said that they don't care when we joined them. All that matters is that we're with them now. I have never seen any group who expresses so much love and solidarity with their fans, an you're right - we're not a fandom. We ARE a family. We gather under the same sun, and that sun is BTS and their loving and hopeful message. Love yourself, love each other, and it costs nothing to be kind. The BTS manifesto, if you will.
This song and this video gave me the happiest ugly cry of my life. BTS has a way of touching hearts, that's for certain. It's a credit to you that you've been open enough to allow it. Not everyone can say the same. I think that when someone brings as much light as BTS, it's inevitable that they'll be met with darkness. The haters can try to drag them down, and God knows they try very hard, but good always wins in the end. You can't hide true light, and every night has an ending.

This song already makes me cry and now with the added mv, im a total wreck of a mess.
This song is just so beautiful and emotional that everytime i watch the mv i get goosebumps and shivers down my spine.
Also in my opinion the whale that BTS are riding (then turns into millions of purple orbs) represent us Armys as we have taken them to places and heights they never thought was possible for a small company group, and it goes through some of their most memorable MVs to the 2018 MAMA awards show where they spoke about almost disbanding to seeing a door opening for them to go thru then they end it with the Boy With Liv era as the still have the ON era to go trough with us Armys.
This one continues to break me in a good way. Thank you for sharing your emotional reactions with us. I feel so lucky to have found army - I didn't know BTS would come with millions of family members.
I also became a fan and then ARMY - it snuck up on me, and I wondered if I could really claim that at first. But I love them as people, admire them as artists, and wish I could stand between them and everything that could hurt them. And then I heard "army, can you hear me?" in a video, and I said yes without thinking. So then I knew.

I feel like you needed to see this MV after watching so many other MVs that you haven't gotten to yet. It makes it so much more meaningful and emotional. I noticed you only really started noticing the MV references when they ran past the blood sweat and tears table but they have been present from the start of the video with N.O., no more dream, danger, run, I need you, and so many others
My deepest condolences on your loss. I hope that you find comfort in this music and with ARMY. When I lost my dad last year it was ARMY and BTS that got me through. When I wanted to withdraw they wouldn't let me. So understand that you are not alone in this time. Blackswan was what made me a fan of the guys. But it was this song and their personalities that made me ARMY. A lot of us wish we could go back and be with them from the beginning but as Suga once said... it doesn't matter when you joined them what ever day that was... is the day they debuted.

I've been waiting for you to get to this one. I knew you'd completely get it and that it would hit you right in the heart. Every time I hear this song it doesn't matter when or where or what mood I'm in, I have my own little journey in my head of my own 5 yrs with them and ARMY.
When they performed it in LA I was lucky enough to be there and I couldn't keep myself together, I lost it before the first words were sung, because of how much it means to be loved and accepted the way you are when you become ARMY... by ARMY but also by BTS themselves.

I found BTS in Februrary and bought my ARMY card in March. How I found them is a long story, but I knew almost right away I was ARMY. In many ways I feel so sad that I just found them when they decided they needed a group break and then off to the military. (Though I do have to say that this solo part has been so much, it's been hard to keep up with!) I love this song, but the MV really adds to the lyrics and made it complete when I saw it. No worries about tears; they can be very healing. So sorry for your loss.

Since the beginning they are going through their MVs. THe first one is No more dream and the last is Spring Day.
Like you said, our love goes beyond the artistry aspect, we love them! as human beings, their virtues and their flaws, the fact that they presented their vulnerability, not just "the perfect image" that any idols is obbligated to show. BangPD is a genius! He took seven pieces of coal and realized the diamonds they could become. And here they are!!! Talent + hard work = success, unfortunately, this formula brings hate together, people who instead of using them as a role model, prefer to spread lies. (like that short story about the reaction of two students facing a great ballerina: the first one wants to work hard to be like her, the other wants to break her legs.)
We waited a long time to suggest this one to you. There was a lot of videos that you had to react to first to appreciate this one fully as it references so many of their previous videos. I'm glad that you were finally able to see this one as it is one of my favorite ARMY songs. I cried along with you on this one and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The first time I saw this MV I was a mess. I've not watched it since, until now. And it still breaks me. These men are so damn special to the world. Like you said, they somehow bring together people from different countries, different cultures, religions, skin colours, ages, gender identities, sexualities and join us all in this huge bubble of love and positivity. It doesn't matter who you are, you belong in this community called ARMY. We are all united in our love for these 7 men, the music they make, the message they convey that every single one of us is worthy of happiness, that our hopes and dreams are achievable, not to ever let anyone put us down, make us feel badly about ourselves. The strength and power of their message is all encompassing and I honestly and truly do not know how I lived 46 years of my life with nobody telling me this stuff before. Since hearing BTS for the first time 18 months ago, my outlook on life has changed so much. I wish I'd found them sooner, it could have saved me a lot of years of unhappiness. But I am so so grateful that I did find them and I will NEVER stop believing what they say, what they stand for and what they believe in. I am so so so sorry about the loss you are currently experiencing. And congrats on the growth of your channel. Wow you are close to 200K subs now. BTS content tend to do the numbers. That is why there are so many reaction to BTS for sale out there. They are never fans. Your first video I saw was when you cried and I shared that with many. Many emotional reactors over estimate their acting ability. So I hope you continue to be genuine. Because I promise you, the viewers you want in the long run, (and this BTS thing is a long run thing trust me, so many could not carry on when they can not sustain their acting), are the viewers who will be able to tell.
Now, in Nov 2022, after we all know that BTS was planning to take a break after Map of the Soul: 7 released in 2020.... This was their YET TO COME back then, when they thought they were going to take a break after....
This was one of the first few BTS music videos I've seen when I first found them at the end of 2020. (Heard them for years but ignored them because of the label "kpop"). I did not even know all the secenes here are from their prior MVs. But I was holding back tears. After I became familiar with their discography and came back to watch this, it was even more powerful.
This is hands down one of my favorite BTS songs.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your sincerity has always shown through, which is why I have watched you for the last 8 months when many people I will watch a video or 2 and never again. I love your description between the difference between fan and ARMY - and I very much agree with it. I became a fan of BTS in 2015, but it wasn't until 2017 when I was going through so much personally, professionally, and medically all at once and the song Not Today came out - their music was always good but that was the start of the rabbit hole for me. I had that thought then too, wish I could have realized so much earlier and supported better through it but the family ARMY has been to me and the constant encouragement and love from BTS themselves through their music and their own struggles has helped me for many years now. Nothing is worse than losing someone you love, but I hope you can get some comfort from the community you are apart of and the support we can try to share. Similar to what others experience, I also cried when I first heard this. What more when I saw the video, I'm a mess. I read somewhere that when RM made lyrics, he was crying too. Mad respect for this guy and the whole BTS team who never forget ARMY whenever they go.

I became ARMY at the beginning of 2020, and if I recall correctly I believe this MV was the first I got to see when it was released. Even then as a baby ARMY this song and MV had an impact on me. I'm so sorry for your loss. I think you did need to hear this song exactly when you did. Hope it brings comfort. As I was watching, I thought of how we now understand the context of this song and album (Map of the Soul: 7) so much more now. This was meant to be their last album before a world tour and then extended break (which they are finally taking only now).
This was like a "goodbye for now, but not really, because we are eternally there for each other" song - they went through all the familiar scenes from past MVs across the years... it's like what "Yet to Come" is for the year 2022. The fact that they were delayed from taking that break, due to so many circumstances... turned out that in those two years, their status and prestige factor shot up even more exponentially, to dizzying heights... it just made them need this break even more. But how elegantly planned the original timeline was: an album named 7, marking 7 years with 7 members. Then two years-plus 'away' so they could be back for their 10th anniversary (which is next year, 2023). But it didn't happen as planned.
Then again, if they hadn't been delayed, we wouldn't have gotten that massive growth in the fan base (as seen in Twitter and TH-cam follower counts; tons of people found BTS during the pandemic), the Coldplay collabs and continuing relationship, all kinds of other collabs, Grammy nominations and performances, another UN speech (this time with diplomatic status as presidential envoys), the historic White House visit, the record-breaking whirlwind that was Dynamite, followed by Butter... it was like this record-busting rollercoaster ride that just kept taking them higher and higher, until I was legit getting scared for them (the higher you go, the bigger the potential fall - as Suga would probably say, too).
But I love how all of this has slowly been brought back to solid ground, steered by no one but themselves and their own choices (it's the "soft landing" they made sure to give Army). Chapter two for BTS has brought fresh air into the space. It'll be exciting to keep watching and supporting them as they grow and create even more. 💜🤍

This music video was a special release for Festa (BTS’ anniversary) 2020. It was a special gift to ARMY, rather than this song being a released single. I’m not sure if you have seen all these MVs, but it’s a journey through the MVs since their first release “No More Dream” up until the latest MV when this video would have been created which was “Boy With Love”. The opening begins with RM from “Boy With Love” looking into the mirror and seeing his reflection of himself from “No More Dream”.

Great definition of ARMY! And this song is for us 😍 No one else loves their fans like Bangtan do. I've been Army for years and they just don't ever change. I'm regularly still surprised by their character and their achievements. And they do it all despite everything they've had to go through (and still are - today the billboards have mysteriously removed Bangtan when they've been in the charts since 2016 and people are having a go at Joon. Sigh.)
