I just switch to a leather Barton strap from a Hadley Roma Cordura on my SNK. Man what a difference! It went from cheap, scratchy, stiff and uncomfortable to soft and supple.
I checked out the link to Barton and they have a nice website. I think I'll order the leather nato strap. I like the 2-piece leather straps and they look well made but I wish they had more taper -- I like my leather straps to have at least 4mm to 6mm of taper. Nicely executed harmonic at the end of the Barton Band song!
Ah, I see. Maybe they will make such a thing in the future! Anyway, thanks for noticing that harmonic strum: ) Oddly, of the many times that I had to record this, that part was always perfect. haha!
A great selection of watches there, the SARY Seiko looks Amazballs with the espresso strap. I'll be buying the silicone band for the orange monster I've just bought.... at a ridiculous price...but worth every penny
Nice review. And lovely watch collection! I have an Alpha as well, same model but with black bezel. It's a cool little piece, a fishing buddy of mine who collects Patek even found this one to genuinely be a nice and fun watch considering the price and availability. "It's a perfect replacement for a ref. 6241 Daytona or a Big Red for that matter, because those you would never ever use as a beater." his exact words. And I think he is right. Also, it becomes a bit sexy once it gets a few dings and scratches. The only negatives I have to the Alpha Daytona is the course finish on the lugs, the screwdown crown but no actual water resist, and that the movement is a bit inaccurate, but it might just be my model that needs to be regulated again. The positive thing is that Alpha offers all spare parts for sale, so I might get the threaded tube for the crown replaced as its a bit worn on mine after I msde the mistake of showing it to an idiot who clearly couldn't comprehend the difference between a delicate wristwatch and an old rusty tractor. (he used full force when he screwed in the crown).
I've never had a canvas strap (mainly a leather guy). I like the look, but I'd rather the inside lining be leather. My fear is that subtle movement throughout the day would cause extreme chafing (unless you strapped it so tight it didn't move at all, which is what I do with one of my leather straps that has a rougher lining).
Would you recommend these quick release straps over others that you have used? I am mostly interested in the leather straps, but may also buy the silicon and canvas.
That depends on your needs. For example, I really like Clockwork Synergy (the ones that I use anyway) straps when I want something shiny. They work well with classier watches but not so good with sportier ones. They are also quite stiff yet very affordable. These Barton bands are [very] comfortable, supple and work best with sportier watches in my opinion. It's hard for me to choose one over the other especially since I haven't had either for a long time. That being said, I have to opt towards comfort so I'd choose Barton over CS (if I had to).
Another great video! I have the orange silicone on my Casio F-91W, it is great, very soft and doesn't pick up dirt. Which my Bonetto Cinturini on my SKX does, but I like that one otherwise as well, natural rubber and vanilla scented
Barton strap, my respects! Their priority is customer satisfaction! In this time of pandemic I ordered straps from different companies including Barton. All got delayed, only Barton replied and offered a refund or another courier delivery with no extra charge. Just to check I asked for a refund and immediately I got a refund. Amazing! Other companies just used the excuse of covid 19 and don't even talk about a refund. For straps, only Barton!
Broken record here, but you are simply a fun and pleasant company! That's why you're successful, don't change! About the bands, I do wish they also offered tapered version. But I'll buy one to check it out.
Hi! For a Seiko diver (Samurai) would you rather recommend a Barton Elite Silicone Strap, or a Canvas? I usually wear it with its steel bracelet, but in summer I prefer lighter straps....Thx
minitwatch I have the Nato for a bit over a month. I use it for outdoors/heavy activities on my skx009. There's no fray or signs of being worn-out. Really comfy. Another rubber band a bit less than a month. Also very comfy. I also like that they fit smaller wrists unlike other brands. Not sure if it helps because I haven't owned them that long hahahah.
minitwatch by the way, I think they are perfect for casual/sport watches because their "ending" is square-ish. Not so much for Dress styles. What's your opinion? I have a Bauhaus style watch (domed face) and am considering to get one but not sure if it looks right lol.
If it's very dressy I would say no. Their site even shows sportier watches. I would absolutely go with clockwork synergy's quick release straps for a dressy watch. If I want something more comfortable but not quick release, I would definitely go for a Hadley Roma or a Dassari. My SARB033 on a black Hadley Roma MSM834 is just bloody perfect.
Duuude, pleeeease! Show your watches some love and give them a good wind before shooting a video! Your Hamilton Kaki stopped while you were talking... The Orange Monster was stopped all the way through, same for the Victorinox. Please, let them tick! Otherwise good job! And I'm a matcher too! I feel best when the band/strap/whatever matches somehow the color scheme of the watch!
I dig Barton. I have a quick release brown leather one that I switch between my SNK809 and Casio World Time Illuminator. Definitely wanna pick up the Timex Expedition strap for the illuminator that you featured in another video!
I put the gingerbread leather for my Orient blue Ray 2 in the shopping cart. It fits so nice with the blue dial. I don't like the original black silicone strap.
I have a silicone Barton band that has the quick release spring, but one side will not come off. I am trying to sell the Galaxy Watch3 it's on, and wish I could place the original leather strap on it, but it won't budge. I am selling it with the Barton strap, so no biggie, but am worried the customer that ends up buying it will complain about it and I end up having a return dispute of some sort. And I don't have that strap removal tool that is sold for watches, and really don't know how to use it either. I would also be afraid of scratching the watch if I purchased that tool and tried myself. I have another Barton and both sides release so easily! I once took a mechanical watch I have to a jeweler to get the original strap off, and the first place I went too didn't want to do it and sent me somewhere else, and that other man was just nasty towards me. I was prepared to pay and when I asked him how much he just did a motion with his hand like he was brushing me off. Like I was such a bother. I guess I am just venting out of frustration.
Nice strap but not a big fan of the buckles they use. I'd prefer a brushed stainless look rather than chrome. I may try one out to see what it looks like in person.
Just wondering, I intend to buy the army green canvas band for the Seiko Alpinist. Would it fit nicely, colour wise? In your video you’ve mentioned all the green dial watches does not match the green band and I’m wondering if I should go ahead with it or not. Also thinking of getting the expresso leather one for the Alpinist as well.
Can you please please please show the blue canvas strap on your SARB033? I loved your video with the army green one, and am playing with the idea of getting the Nantucket blue canvas strap... Thanks dude. Love your videos!
Couldn't recommend the strap anymore or any more? I suspect you mean you couldn't recommend it more. Sorry...I teach that stuff. Nitpicking people's English becomes a kneejerk annoying habit. :-)
I have a Barton silicon band but I find it too grippy on the underside, and I dislike the way it sticks to my wrist. But I suppose the upside is the quick release.
You need to find some fanfold insulation, its what you use behind vinyl siding. It's amazing how good it works and I bet it would lower the temp by at least 25 degrees, Home Depot probably has it if you have vinyl siding in Hawaii. Yes elastomeric sealant & asphalt shingles go together like peanut butter & sushi! Keep the staple gun away from your wiener :)
My siding is wood but it was always the ceiling that was radiating heat from above. What I did absolutely solved the problem! I fully doubted it was going to work but now it's literally 20 degrees cooler. I can't believe it! This is life changing! lol. I used to wake up during the day because it was too hot. Now, I wake up 10 hours later thinking it's raining.
Are you working 3rd shift or unemployed night owl shift? I hate being hot while sleeping, nothing worse than sweating while trying to catch some z's. You can use that insulation on wood, metal, vinyl or fiberglass. I keep a bunch of it around to lay on while I work on stuff in the garage and last year I made panels out of it to put in my basement windows during the winter. The basement never dropped below 55 all winter and there is no heat down there:)
No, I'm working mids but who can come home at midnight and just go to sleep. After work is the best time for me to make these videos so I'm up way late. I am already trying to find other things to insulate. I'll have a bunch left over after the next round. This is good info, though. Thanks. I might need this where I move to. House prices in Idaho Falls have dropped even more. It's astounding. I wonder wtf is going on there! lol.
I usually go to sleep around 530 or 600 so I understand. If prices are dropping you need to be buying if thats where you want to live, home prices here have been going up a lot for the last 5 years, rent has been up real high since 08.
Unfortunately, the only Barton watch band I have experience with is a leather NATO strap and it was terrible quality. It was so thin and frayed at the end that stringy pieces of leather were clogging the holes and it stretched out in one week. 😥
those straps are comfortable but nothing to be crazy with the situation, they overall I will not buy from them again, bad customer service, strap take almost a month to arrive, etc
Good to see the real orange monster! The one with hour markers that look like claws/teet! I believe the gen 3 has resorted to rectangle markers. So sad. Great vid!
Yeah, that Hamilton Khaki Field is the show stopper on that ginger strap. Pure class. 👍🏻
Thanks for showcasing Barton bands with your watch collection.
This is by far the best into to any review video I've seen
I just switch to a leather Barton strap from a Hadley Roma Cordura on my SNK. Man what a difference! It went from cheap, scratchy, stiff and uncomfortable to soft and supple.
Always enjoy your reviews. All the best on your upcoming employment situation!
Thank you. I appreciate it!
Your personality is erratic and I love it!

Very nice review man, nice straps, 7 watches, every day another one. That's cool man 😎
I use Barton straps on 3 out of 4 of my watches. Awesome straps, love the quick release feature.
A great selection of watches there, the SARY Seiko looks Amazballs with the espresso strap. I'll be buying the silicone band for the orange monster I've just bought.... at a ridiculous price...but worth every penny
Good that you got one now! I hope you like the silicone!
Haha, are all your videos like this? I'm loving the intro song and one take video.

I came here looking for a review and got so much more.

I know it's not the same as canvas but their sailcloth bands have leather linings.
I Just came back from a cuban Style party.Still a little bit drunk but I still watch your Video 😂😂 greetings from Germany at 4::00 in the morning
Whoa, sounds like a good time! What is a cuban style party? I am curious! cheers!
I'm glad I got my Orange Monster when I did, as well. Besides being hard to find, their prices have skyrocketed!
Would you recommend these quick release straps over others that you have used? I am mostly interested in the leather straps, but may also buy the silicon and canvas.

I had my watch fly off with these, granted I was at the batting cages. But still lol
Your espresso band on the Victorinox looks great! Mine looked more grayish... Great review!
Another great video! I have the orange silicone on my Casio F-91W, it is great, very soft and doesn't pick up dirt. Which my Bonetto Cinturini on my SKX does, but I like that one otherwise as well, natural rubber and vanilla scented
I know of this vanilla rubber scent! Awesome man!
Damn that intro! Dude your quality just keeps going higher and higher with each video! Keep it up man!
Thanks, man!

Almost passed out trying to focus, on the out of focus bits. Apart from that, fun times.
Oh oh! That sometimes happens to me when reading.
They're great! Got 2. Will definitely buy more from them.
Nice! How long have you had them? I'm curious about how they break in.
minitwatch I have the Nato for a bit over a month. I use it for outdoors/heavy activities on my skx009. There's no fray or signs of being worn-out. Really comfy. dog's bollocks=good
also I've trawled some sordid, tawdry corners of the net but i'm yet to see anyone "blow sushi".
It'll probably happen at some point. I have faith in the internet! haha
i feel the same about the gingerbread, the only reason i bought was because it sounded and looked so tasty
Nice Vid ! Love the Intro! And nice collection btw , I need an orange monster to round off my Seiko Divers. Sbdc051,sbdc033,srpa21,

Sweet! Might I ask how long you've had it and how has it broken in? Do it! lol
minitwatch - November 10, 2016. And wow does the time fly. Quick break in, comfortable, I'd say a black or a coffee brown are ideal colors.
Not bad! How has the leather itself worn it? Has it become nicely distressed or has it retained it's look?
It's 18mm for SNK809 is it? Thinking of picking a couple up
TheCaptain008 literally wearing the same seiko and strap as you right now
Thanks for introducing Barton Bands. They look great!
Thanks for watching!
Holy shit, going to check them out.
Boom!
Barton needs to sponsor my man here.
I put the gingerbread leather for my Orient blue Ray 2 in the shopping cart. It fits so nice with the blue dial. I don't like the original black silicone strap.
Great video. Wish more people should work straps into their watch reviews like you.
I have a silicone Barton band that has the quick release spring, but one side will not come off. I am trying to sell the Galaxy Watch3 it's on, and wish I could place the original leather strap on it, but it won't budge. I guess I am just venting out of frustration.
Great review buddy! Every band is a perfect fit in my opinion. I think you match them all perfectly. Great little collection! Green one is #1🤔
All strap makers need to start using quick release spring bars!
Canvas on Seiko SKX013 ?
Nice strap but not a big fan of the buckles they use.
I'd prefer a brushed stainless look rather than chrome.
I may try one out to see what it looks like in person.
Barton offers four buckle options: stainless, black, gun metal, goldtone.
Just wondering, I intend to buy the army green canvas band for the Seiko Alpinist. Would it fit nicely, colour wise? In your video you’ve mentioned all the green dial watches does not match the green band and I’m wondering if I should go ahead with it or not. Also thinking of getting the expresso leather one for the Alpinist as well.
the alpinist needs a brown leather strap to look good. imo green straps are shit on it
That Hamilton and those Citizen divers are freaking sweet. For a second there, I thought you were going to say that you like to smell the panties.
I was. haha! Heck yes! The general consensus is that those two are the best ones.
me too man...that would have been hilarious
What size is the canvas band ? Is the standard or long band?
What do you recommend for a Seiko snk807, the blue one.
I like brown leather straps.
Thanks
If I get the canvas wet a lot? would they mess up?
Nice style, just wish they offered tapered widths.
Great "bands". I've got the Nantucket on my Casio F91W. It works!
Excellent! I think their canvas ones might be my favorite.
From one local to another, thanks for da pidginnn.
Love victorinox and citizen,very catchy
Indeed! Thanks for watching!
Lol I love how you're talking about how great the watch is and it doesn't even tick. orange monster more like orange paperweight
I have pretty hairy forearms, will a silicone strap pull on my arm hair?
Not as much as metal. It's kinda sticky.
@@kyoukotoshino5600 Thanks
@@TheKreattion
No worries. I'm a big fan of wood straps, it's light enough to slide rather than pull
Can you please please please show the blue canvas strap on your SARB033? I loved your video with the army green one, and am playing with the idea of getting the Nantucket blue canvas strap... Thanks dude. Love your videos!
Why do they not fit Garmin Vivoactive 4s? Standard 18mm so why?
Got a leather for seiko snk809 couldn’t recommend the strap anymore
Couldn't recommend the strap anymore or any more? I suspect you mean you couldn't recommend it more. Sorry...I teach that stuff. Nitpicking people's English becomes a kneejerk annoying habit. :-)
Great video! Unfortunately, Barton doesn't carry the emerald/kelly green colour I'm really after.
Thanks for cool straps. Pls give a review some green dial watch
I do have a lack of green dial watches, huh. I have a green bezel watch coming up soon, though!
I have a Barton silicon band but I find it too grippy on the underside, and I dislike the way it sticks to my wrist. But I suppose the upside is the quick release.
Others are saying to just loosen the strap one hole, and it feels great.
Do the straps taper?
These straps have no taper? They look bulky
By any chance do you know where it's manufactured in? I'm trying to get one if it's made in the US
You need to find some fanfold insulation, its what you use behind vinyl siding. What's that watch with the green canvas strap?
Loved the canvas ones... Going to Barton's right after the video
Sweet! I hope you like it!
Loooove to sniff the pan...the straps!"
Hey man, how big is your wrist?
May I ask what size wrist you have?
Unfortunately, the only Barton watch band I have experience with is a leather NATO strap and it was terrible quality. It was so thin and frayed at the end that stringy pieces of leather were clogging the holes and it stretched out in one week. 😥
Oh that is unfortunate! =/
From the looks of these straps though, I may have to give them another try. 👍
That turtle was lit
ny0040 and the Hammy are the winners imho
Absolutely!
i would love to see the Hamilton on the green canvas!
