You can't completely immerse yourself in songs like these unless you know it's context and the language in which it is being sung. Also, an actor doesn't need to have any kind of dancing skills in order to become a good actor.

Guys Ranbir is a great dancer. One of his biggest attributes when he was new in the industry was his dancing, besides his looks of course. Girls fell for him so fast all over you can't imagine. There's more dancing in his older movies cause movies have evolved a lot since, and these days there's not as many dance numbers. Although you guys have watched quite a few of his dance songs, like Matargashti, Balam Pichkari, Badtameez dil, Ghagra, Jab se tere naina, and I think of the songs from Jagga Jasoos.

Yess Sanju is an awesome movie and Ranbir’s performance is fabulous, but i’m not sure how much you guys will appreciate it given it’s a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, who you haven’t really explored enough. Sanjay Dutt is an icon and so so loved in India, but honestly you would need to be a bit more familiar with not just his work, but much of his personal life (rather controversial) to fully enjoy Sanju as a movie/experience!
As an introduction to him, you could start by watching Agneepath as it’s pretty recent, and then some of his older and more iconic stuff like Khalnayak, Vaastav, Saajan and Munna Bhai MBBS!!

@Korbin, you'll be a but bummed to know that the lyricist of "Zindagiiiiiiiiiiiiii Kaisi hai Paheli haye" from Anand - Mr. Yogesh Gaur, passed away yesterday. He wrote some of the greatest songs in Hindi movies but was considered a minor writer because he wrote few songs (though they were all wonderful.) I'm a moderately successful screenwriter/songwriter myself and he was an inspiration to many like me.
