This was one and the only Comedy Central Level Roast done in India, and the public, the bureaucracy just wasn't ready for it. Kudos to AIB for having the guts to do something like this. Such a great sport these people are(were)!
1) India is not America.
2) They uploaded an 18+ roast on TH-cam where kids also exist. Hence got banned. They should have uploaded it as a pay per view show so that kids don’t have access to it. Their fault for not having the minimal level of intelligence to think about that.
And ofcourse some Indians love it cause they love following America but the roast was extremely low quality since they couldn’t make a single joke that wasn’t sexual. It was repetitive and many times saying the word “fuck” was considered as funny. Low quality as hell.

2. Try watching Comedy Central roasts. Roast themselves mean Insult comedy. As for the kids thing... They put a warning several times in it. They must have even tagged it not for kids in the TH-cam settings, and as we all have been kids in our life, we all know how much restrictions help to "Keep the kids Away" from "Mature Content".
Here you are watching two Americans laughing at it. It is a success. You are on this channel itself for American's validation for our "Indian" stuff... Why?

This is NOT their best work but this is what made AIB famous or infamous! 😅 The people who were offended by this had never heard of a roast and just couldn't understand the concept either.
Aib was famous before because of that this roast went to higher audience which lead to all the FIRs and when 20 plus people including actors came into FIR at once made this roast viral

Okay so the jokes were really good for a roast but they became very repeated after a point and even Tanmay Bhatt himself admitted that he would change or enhance few jokes if he could. But the problem is that the Intolerant public got so offended they never gave them the second chance. We all make mistakes and this roast was no way perfect or without flaws but that's what happens when you try something new for the first time. They can only improve themselves if they're given constructive criticism instead of banning them from everywhere or launching FIRs at them.
Exactly, the jokes were fine but they got repetitive. The only parts that are just weird are all the jokes were racist in nature for Shakya. Otherwise it was really good.

Why does Rick sometimes acts like getting offended is something that only happens in India? The fact that you've to mention that people will get offended over this and that, shows that you get offended over people getting offended by you. Or else you wouldn't even mention those silly things.

How many of us remember Rick getting offended in AIB’s The day India resigned video? It’s like in almost every video daily we get told off by him right in the beginning. Practice what you preach for once. And by the way, I am not ‘offended’ with this roast. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed Korbin’s reaction to it.

British comedians complain about how americans get offended by comedians. And getting offended or cancelling is okay, but in India comedians get arrested and have to fight legal battle so its much worse.

Boney Kapoor is a big Bollywood and South Indian film producer, investor and businessman. He is Arjun Kapoor's father(and the brother of Anil and Sanjay Kapoor).
Boney Kapoor left Arjun's mother and went on to marry the late Sri Devi (she's south Indian) a legendary Bollywood actor, she was one of the most beautiful actresses of her time.
And in 2 States Arjun plays a north Indian that fell for and married a hot south Indian....just like his pops did in real life.
The joke hit really deep considering many in the audience knew about the debacle Boney's move caused. Exact Info's not known but allegedly there was a spat between him and Anil prior and after his marriage to the actress.
Arjun's mother was not divorced yet when Boney Kapoor married Sri Devi. She still uses the Kapoor surname as a proper divorce hasn't happened till this day. Back in the day it was a huge story and always had something related in the papers.
Seeing them understand bollywood references is wht ive waited to watch for so long...it feels greatt❤❤

Boney Kapoor is Arjun's father. He married the late Sridevi, who is South Indian. Arjun very famously didn't get along with Sridevi though he's taken care of her daughters like a good brother after her passing. That's what Karan meant by a North Indian who falls in love with a South Indian. It hit him right in his sore spot.
People were not mad at the comedy. People were mad at the platform they chose to conduct this roast at in terms of actual venue and also the tv telecast... This is clearly adult comedy yet it was telecast on platforms that even kids would be able to watch. There is a specific place for this kind of comedy and it shouldn't be available to PG audiences, that's the whole controversy

Stand up wise, none of the four are that great, although if I had to choose one, I'd say Khamba is better with that dead pan delivery. However, they are great at writing satire & sketches, and they were easily the funniest comedic group we've ever had in India
Indians have this high urge of becoming like Americans and britishers in every sense.They want white skin,speak english with accents ex priyanka chopra,copy their traditions beliefs and culture. Just see Westerners as modern and indian culture as regressive. I don't see such things in Korean and Japanese and Chinese. They love their culture language traditions. May be 200 years of colonial rule have done this to Indians. So you see this pieces of art which are downright copied from Western culture like roasting stand up comedy etc from india
It was ages back before the boom of Instagram and reliance jio. Else, it would have been bashed and received more criticism by all the sensitive assholes exist in India, in the name of religion, race, gender etc etc.. Glad it came back in the day, and I super enjoyed it then as much as I do today.

1) India is not America.
2) They uploaded an 18+ roast on TH-cam where kids also exist. Hence got banned. They should have uploaded it as a pay per view show so that kids don’t have access to it. Their fault for not having the minimal level of intelligence to think about that.
And ofcourse some Indians love it cause they love following America but the roast was extremely low quality since they couldn’t make a single joke that wasn’t sexual. It was repetitive and many times saying the word “fuck” was considered as funny. Low quality as hell.
