I wish these guys would take better care of themselves... As miserable as this music's vibe is - they all have so much fun playing, and there is an incredibly uplifting element to this bands music.
I forgot to mention I hung out with Jimmy Bower & Mike Williams after the show. They were both cool guys. Jimmy & I drank beer, smoked Marlboro Reds out of my pack & laughed about dumb shit for about 45 minutes.
Yeah he was fucking cool as hell. A friend of mine met him at a show in NOLA & Jimmy was with his mom & introduced her to my friend & they all hung out & talked for over an hour in a diner. Then I ended up meeting him in NY about a year later & he was cool to me too. Everyone I know who's met him always has good things to say. Mike was nice too. I told him I liked the fingerless gloves he was wearing with the Russian hammer & sickle. His response was, "Thanks bro! You really like em? I found them in the garbage! HAHAHAHA!!!" But he was chatting up this chick & I didn't wanna cock block him so Jimmy & I kept drinking, smoking & joking around. Definitely a band I would go see over & over again.
Bower might be the most talented musician to come out of NOLA.
Got to see these guys in like '98. Neurosis opened for them. One of the best shows I've ever been to.
THANK YOU for posting this. I was there!!!!

This is one band on my bucket list but they don't come to these parts.
