Also, I know that they have the national dog shows and stuff in PA so the whole weird dog theme makes some sense. People are crazy about dogs here too
I hope Jenna is healing and doing whatever she wants. But I love her and miss her and I hope she knows how much we all love and support her. And one day maybe she’ll come back to us like Jesus lmao
I grew up in Racine so I know a bit about the last one! It's severe erosion along the cliffs, it's happening to a lot of the expensive lakefront properties overlooking Lake Michigan. Coupled with the natural erosion, if you remove the trees/plants/etc growing on the cliff side (for aesthetics or whatever), the roots that were holding the ground "together" in a sense are no longer there, so the ground deteriorates much quicker. I imagine also building multiple gaudy and unnecessarily large houses on an already unstable cliff speeds up the process as well.
I live in Michigan so I'm also familiar with those lake front houses. Those towns are like built half on top of sand dunes, there's sand fucking EVERYWHERE and the ground is SO unstable. I imagine Wisconsin is nearly if not as rainy and wet as Michigan - and nothing likes to erode away faster than wet fucking sand.
Same, it quenched my raging thirst for bad homes because thanks to this series i got introduced to the best twitter and insta page in the history of the world
When you know the original owner of the Wisconsin house and they “abandoned” it after being petty about not wanting to fix the shore line even though they own the 12 or so other acres around it lol
Wait they just abandoned the house? After trying to sell it for $430,000? Sorry, I'm just genuinely intrigued about this house, I want to know what happened, there is no way it was just built like that? What were they being petty about? I WANT ALL THE TEA! lmao... were they instructed to build a retaining wall before this happened? And they just didn't? Whhhyyy? (Also I'm a civil engineer sooo.... I would like to speak to the manager lol jk)
@@carolineo9532 So I'm from Wisconsin and I looked it up. It did sell and the guy who bought it apparently planned to demolish the house and reinforce that nightmare drop off lol no idea if he went through with it
Whenever I see this houses I always think of how the natives feel. Like imagine being forced into a small reserve of YOUR land while Brad and Karen live in a chuck-E-cheese remake
So in Michigan’s upper peninsula, there are so many houses that are abandoned because they were built to close to the shore and the sand dunes just eroded away and now they are just teetering off the edge of a sandy cliff like that last house. It genuinely so creepy to see a house being reclaimed by nature like that. There are even some that have already fallen in to the lake.
Omg one in Part Two, Part One had those creepy round windows that you have to pull the chain to open the blinds. Aunt Josephines was eye shaped, but it opened the same way!
The number of times I have rewatched these videos is probably deplorable. Thank you, Sarah and Brittany, for being my safe space in this incredibly terrifying world.
for context on the mullet house, my parent's house is actually very similar to this where its a cute dollhousy house on the front and a weird modern cube house made of completely different material at the back. the reason? because they got it renovated to have more space at the back of the house and just chose for it to look like that. i have no clue why, but yeah there's a pretty good chance that it's not security related or whatever, they just added extra space to their house and couldn't stop themselves from making it look fancy and modern, don't ask me why.
i’m from where the mullet house is located and charlotte is becoming a victim of terrible gentrification so they probably did it to “blend better” with the neighborhood
