- Stopped at a roadside permanent yard sale/salvage yard for some axe heads. Got a tip for an out of the way Antique shop that had some knives. Lets have a look at what I found.

Some really great pieces. Can’t wait to see them all cleaned up. I think you got some really fair prices. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Thanks, Stan. I think I did too. even paid a few bucks extra for one that I felt was too low. Have the folding hunter about done. Just needs a mineral oil soak. Have a great day!
Heck yeah! Lots of fun ahead, the folding Hunter will look amazing all cleaned up. Great finds
Thanks, brother! Working on it now, along with others, lol. Have a great day!
Very good. you found some nice knives. Thanks for sharing 🤙
Thanks, Piper, and you're welcome. I'll be dropping a video on the Schrade folding hunter tomorrow. It's all cleaned up. Have a great evening!
Awesome haul! Fantastic!!👍💯
It was a fun time going through the lot to find these gems. Thanks for having a look. Have a great day!
Fantastic haul alot of great knives have a great week
THank you, George! I'll be busy restoring for a while. Have a great evening!
Those are awesome finds. Looks like a fun cleanup
Thanks, Jason. I have a few on the go already. I need to invest in mineral oil stocks, lol. Thanks for having a look. Have a great day!
@@Pocket_EDC that ultrasonic water cleaner Tom at knife delights uses is the way to go I think
@@jasonbeecher509 I would have to agree. Something to look into for sure.
Fantastic haul! Some great vintage pieces. I have never seen a slimline like that from Case! You have some fun cleanups ahead.
Thanks, Ronald! I have several on the go already. The folding hunter is top of the list right now. As for the Case, I have to put a lot of thought into that. Leave it as is, or consider maybe a stag recover. Have a great day!
Great haul Todd!! 👌 👍
"HERD EM UP" 🤠
Thank yee, Harold. Folding hunter is shined and soaking in the mineral oil.
I love the Case, Don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that. I’m on a Victorianox kick lately so I really like the Lockback. You really hit the jackpot, should keep us entertained for a while. Thanks for sharing Todd, You and Charlie enjoy your day.👍🇨🇦🔪🐶
Thanks, Dave. The Case is a bit of a mystery so far. I bet the original owner was bummed when the dog, or whatever, chewed on it. I was all day in the garage working on that folding hunter. I'll be busy for a while, lol. Have a great evening!
Nice! Some killer finds! Very cool brother!
Thanks, Randy. Have the folding hunter about done. I'll be busy for a bit, lol. Have a great day!
Maaaaaaaaaaan you did good brother!!!!! Not one bad deal in the lot!!!!!
THanks, Mike! I couldn't argue the prices too much. I should be able to make a good user out of each of them. Better than rotting away on a shelf somewhere. Have a great day and a safe trip back!
Nice Haul! Looks like you have alot of clean up to do! great Deal on that Case Slimline Trapper! Even with the Beaver bite marks!
THanks, Andrew! I'll be busy for a bit, lol. Debating weather to leave the Case as is or attempt a recover. Have a great evening!
Love that folding hunter!
Me to! It should clean up well. Hopefully I can get some history on it. Most I see are Schrade-Walden. This is just Schrade. Have a great day!
Yes, you broke 1k with this video, great job brother. You gathered a great haul man, totally dig this steel story.
Folks really seem to like this video for some reason. And I have no complaints about that, lol. It was fun going through dozens of knives, hunting for gems. If I was at Knife Doctor repair level, I would have come back with more. Have a great day, brother!
Awesome Haul Brother. That German Fixed Blade is a WW-2 Youth pattern. That Hewing hatchet likely has more maker mark under the surface rust. The others likely are marked also. Wire Wheel knocks that rust off quick! Lotta great finds. They will all clean up good 👍 Enjoy
Thanks for the info, Dwayne! I was hoping you would comment. I knew you would have the history. Have a great day!
Wonderful haul!! I picked up a Jowika a little while ago. Very interesting knives made in Ireland I believe.. you did great!!
Thanks, brother! It was quite a fun experience going through them all. I'll be keeping an eye on the place for sure. I do believe you are correct about Jowika being Irish knives. Have a great day!
I think you did really well. They will be fun to get cleaned and sharpened 👍🏼
Thank you! I'll be busy for a bit, lol. Folding hunter is already done. Video will be up in the next couple of days. Have a great day!
@Pocket_EDC Very excited to see the end results 👍🏼
I'm glad to hear that. Video will be dropping in the morning. Have a great evening!
Very cool haul. Send the case in , let em fix it
Interesting idea, Apex. I may contact them. I'm just not sure if they consider the knife becoming a dog chew-toy as normal wear-and-tear. Definitely worth a shot though. Have a great day!
Great finds. Maybe you can leave most of the original bone handle on that case knife and remove the damaged area at the same level. Then replace it with some nice wood. Make a two tone type of handle. I bet it would look awesome.
Hey, Texmex. That's actually a great idea. Wood or maybe a piece of stag. Stone would be good too, though I don't have the tools for that. Thanks for giving me a new option to consider. Have a great day!
It’s a nice haul , I think the prices were fair enough !
Thanks, Jay! I agree. I even paid over asking for one, that I thought was underpriced. Good karma matters. Have a great evening!
Great video and haul Todd! Monarch are a sub brand of Sabre, excellent knives
Thanks, brother! I appreciate that bit of information. Have a great evening!
Lots of great pieces in the lot! You did better than me yesterday... I came home with 0 knives from the antique stores. But i have 3 coming from eBay and maybe one from Amazon
Hey, Mario! That was a rarity. 99% of the time I come up empty handed. EBay is often a desert up here as well. Hope you get three gems. Have a great day!
Score!!! I love axe heads, that double is what I live for, I would like to see you hang that baby with a new handle. Perhaps make one, either way you did awesome. That fixed blade is from the same manufacturer as the picture I sent you of my find. I believe that diamond pattern on the handle is the same as the Hitler Youth Knives. Same manufacturer in Solingen Germany. So many great finds I don’t know where to begin, I’m having sensory overload.😂
Haha! You should have been at the shop if you wanted overload. Imagine if I got there when the 3000 first came in! I'll get to work on those axe heads. Working on the German scout and the folding hunter now. Have a great day!
What a great score brother Todd. That is crazy that someone dumped 3000 knives. There was no telling what was there at the beginning. But you still scored some amazing knives. I bet you will definitely make that a regular stop every time your in the area. Im very curious on that case slimline as well. Looks to be a sawcut natural bone but im not 100% And i dont think ive ever seen one with the brass shield and bolsters like that. Great video brother. Have a great upcoming week my friend. 👍👍🤝
THanks, Travis! Yeah, I don't want to think on what i missed out on, lol. I soaked the case in mineral oil over night. The bone picked up some yellow highlights. I did find one picture of a Case with that shield but, it was nickel silver. I'll keep digging. Have a great evening with your growing family, brother!
@4:10 that style pattern on the blade is a lot like the old hickory set of knives. @5:18 hammerbrand usa to the right is 1945-1955. @8:30 ive never seen a victorianox with that style lock for the blade, super cool. @10:27 the term stainless is literal.., "Stain Less" not stainproof lol so even "stainless" blades can still corrode. You found a great bunch of knives and axes. Really awesome. Cheers, brotha.
Hey, Dime! I though that one was too cool to pass for 5 bucks. I'll get it cleaned up and ready for work. Wow! I didn.t think the Hammer Brand was that old. Thank you for that info! As to the hobo knife, I believe the fork and spoon are stainless. They were the only tools not heavily rusted. The other tools appear to be more carbon. Thank you for the information! Have a great evening!
I picked up a very similar looking hobo knife today except mine has a bunch more gadgets on it. Mine just has Japan for a tang stamp. You may find the same stamp when you clean it up.
Thanks, Jeff. I suspect, once I get through the rust, I will find that mark. Thanks for the info. Have a great day!
Second fixed blade could utica, hammerbrand or imperial. Nice bunch of knives to clean up
Thanks, Steven, for the information. Work has already begun. Should keep me busy for a bit. Have a great evening!
I believe, the second knife you showed is the hammer forged bowie made by WESTERN cutlery USA. Those are getting quite rare.
Thank you for the info. It would certainly be nice if it is a Western. You don't see many of those up this way. Have a great eveing!
I went out the other day and hit some yard sales pick up some knifes spent about $25 for 6 sharp and shines, started home and stop at one more , my wife found some things that she like.Got too talking to the man that was setting a char about knife, And he told me that he made knifes and let see his set up and some of his work, he show me his knife that he was carrying that day, I show him mine to that i just cleaning up and that something that i love to do, Then he said that he has been looking for the right person, and he turn around and pull a big box off a shelf full of knifes and i want you to take it, About 45 knife in all + parts. Love yard sale ..
Wow, Tim! That was a great stroke of good fortune and very kind of that gentleman. He must appreciate knives to have saved them for a person like yourself, who he knew would loom after them. Enjoy the cleanups. I know I do. Have a great day!
Pearl Providence has a beverage opener. Opens bottles or punches hole in the top of a can.
Thanks, brother. Wvery bit of info helps.
I’m new subscriber, good video nice finds!
Well, thank you for subscribing, Greg! And thank you for the positive comment. I'll have cleanup videos coming as the week progresses. Have a great evening!
the Schrade Folding Hunter is Delrin, it’ll clean up the Hobo is made in JapanThe Monarch is. Sabre Brand
Awesome! THanks you for the info, Bluetoad! I have the folding hunter all done. Have a great day!
That'll keep you busy for a while.
Good morning, Mo. Oh, that it will. I have a few on the go already. Thanks for having a look. Have a great day!
Hobo is probably Japan origin, I have a couple of them !
Thank you. That's good to now. Hopefully I can salvage it.
Yep, broke lobster claw can opener
THanks, brother. That was my best guess. The name just wasn't there for me at the time. This getting old has it's drawbacks, lol. Have a great evening!
I might have the hatchet that goes with that grinded on fixed blade, not 100% sure?? Let me know if you want some pictures?
That would be cool to see. Pocketedc@proton.me if you get a chance. Thanks and have a great evening!
That CASE was chewed on by a rodent, prolly a rat.
Very possible. That would explain why a beaver came to mind when I looked at it, lol. Have a great evening!
