I have a son who is near death in a hospital in South Dakota. I wish your church would pray for him. He is in ICU with MRCA. He and his families are believers (1 son, 2 daughter’s w/husbands, 2 grans) He is 66 years old and has been sick over a year. He has been diabetic since late twenties. 100% Pure Gospel at its best!! This is Gospel music that you can actually feel the presence of God and his holy spirit all through it from intro to the last bar!! Taking music like this out of the church was such a huge mistake. I'm so tired of going to churches now listening to nothing but praise teams. Bring back the choirs and the real gospel music! I'm only 30 years old and for the past year now, I've gotten a deep fascination to learn more and more about Albetina. I can now sing her songs word after word...I've watched so many of her live recordings and read alot about her online.
Something about Albertina just draws and maintain my attention. This year 2021, I'll be taking a trip to Chicago for the first time ever just to visit her grave and hopefully get to see the church she grew up in! I am overwhelmed with excitement and anticipation. I wish I had the opportunity to have met such a beautiful lady inside and out!

Found this song in 2015. Since then, it has been a symbol of endurance and hope when I've felt confused about this earthly life. It brought me through some difficult seasons - like losing my brother in 2018. There's something so much more powerful about the ministry of these saints of old. I am 27 Ys-O and am still listening this on repeat amid the crises of 2021! God bless you all. Reminding someone to keep your hold on Jesus because His coming is nearer than ever before.

Retired music teacher here: the human singing voice grows richer as time goes on...for example, listen to Aretha Franklin's early gospel recordings at age 14----then listen to her later gospel recordings and note the expansive deeper range of her voice....or just choose any singer and listen to early recordings and compare to later recordings...
I cant wait till I here this again up there in heaven... The Queen of Gospel and the others are rockin the heavens with their glorious music.
