Beside the Wave Motion Cannon, I love how the table is flipped in space battles, before and after the Yamato launch, with also the creation of the Shock Cannons that are in the main turrets: - before, human ships' shots were bouncing off alien ships, meanwhile being pierced side to side by alien ships' fire... - after, ANY single barrel of Yamato could literally one shot a ship, not counting when a whole turret focused on one single target, in the "combined 3 into 1" beam, meanwhile most "regular alien ship's return fire had the tendency to bounce off Yamato armor/shields combination....
- They bounced off only in the 2 last battles, wich where Mars and Saturn because Gamilas INCREASED their armor to counter the EDF - Thats not true, thats only shown by the anime to speed things up. Remember the 1v1 in the rainbow nebular between yamato and domelaze III? Yea thats more like what it is most of the time. Like stormtroopers in SW that drop after one hit. Their not dead, their injured most of the time to the point of being taken out of combat. Also its wave motion GUN not cannon.
So is there a time-altering principle to earth's warp drives, that allows them to modernize and rebuild their entire fleet, as long as the previous fleet lasts a whole day in the aliens' space?

Thanks to having a brother 7&½ years younger than me I was exposed to children's programs that I would otherwise not have watched, including Star Blazers, Speed Racer, and the Muppets. In spite of the age difference, and our mostly not getting along when we were young, we had the same favorite muppet --Animal.😄 Unfortunately, I don't care for the music you included with your post. Eh, different people have different tastes.

Same i grew up on SB, this reboot was very much better, though some things were a little weird. it was a very awesome story being told

Nah, the scenes are from several different series, the later ones sequels to the first, that feature different wars against different alien species...

For me it adds some realism to the setting, since scenes with ships flying backwards are near-nonexistent in stuff like Star Wars and Star Trek
