The basic idea was that when Gamilas burned off the oceans with their bombardment attacks, Yamato's grave site was found. And when it was needed to build a ship to head on the mission to save the Earth, she was built inside the hollowed out corpse of the original Yamato and given her name in respectful honor.
@@danielhaire6677 that was the first Yamato's lore however since the 2000 we discovered the Yamato in the not so magnificent shape we thought of in the series so instead the lore now became that in the year 2146 the Yamato was raised rebuilt and sank for it to eventualy became the body of the future Noah's Ark of Earth turned Battleship Yamato. I don't know the rest because its a Blu Ray exclusive.
As has been said, the last earth based ship still near complete was an old ww2 era battleship, it became the foundation for a ship that was earths last hope for salvation

in no way does this song. a peice of crap even come close to matching yamato

Guys I haven't watched the movie yet but from what I've seen in the AMVs in this film yamato doesn't seem to use its wave motion gun at all? Can anyone tell me why?

okay so if they are doing season 3 now does that mean that we will eventually get a remake of Final Yamato?
While I do think it will but sadly it may not be the case. Since alot of the stories oriented from later installments of the original Spacebattleship Yamato was later on reused on 2199 and 2202. Most likely new plot is in the table, though I do wanna see 2502 Yamato and Dai Yamato on screen since the story would jump into 3199.

Took around 4yrs for SB2199 to be released in English Dub and 3yrs for SB2202 to be dubbed. If SB2205 comes out next year I'd be enthralled.

because they need to be able to launch their fighter if the carrier is on a planet
@@AemerFactory If the carrier can actually operate in both space and planetary atmosphere, i'd have thought that the bloody fighters and bombers could at least manage a vtol flight mode. And why does it have to be capable of operating in atmosphere anyway? Why dont just scramble from orbit instead?
I know, i know, anime logic. But the itch is just too strong lol.
@@boomer19450 vtol equipment is heavy so not viable to space fighter, and we sea in the movie and 1999 m, that the ability to launch in gravity environment is quite usefull (hiding in gaz planet or under water) plus the runway permit all fighter to quickly land on it and the carrier to go hyperspace and run like in battlestar galactica
@@AemerFactory add to that it lessens the cost because the fighters aren't shielded or have any multi-use roles like being able to carry troops like the ones in Star Wars and Halo.

まぁヤマトの場合そのSLが新幹線より速いし牽引力強いですけどね
@@Lexington_1124_ 艦隊戦で艦列を作るとどうしてもヤマトが浮くんだよね。ヤマトだけデザインの起点が過去(戦艦大和)にあるから。結局他の艦と並べられなくて単艦特攻専門になってしまう。最近はアンドロメダ級のほうをツートンカラーにしたり努力してるみたいだけどまぁ弥縫策だわなぁ。ヤマトのリメイクは割とすぐにSFファンタジーとSFミリタリーの分岐点にぶつかってしまう。タクティカルな艦隊戦が観たい！w
@@striumray4093 あぁ～なるほど。確かにそういう意味ではデザインだけでいえば艦隊戦は向いてないですね。ただまぁもともとそれを意図してアンドロメダ以降の地球艦をデザインした節もあるそうなんで、ある意味では旧作メカデザの思惑通りなのかもしれないです。2205だと群だったので確かに艦隊戦ってのは見てみたいですねｗ
