For that smaller one Diorama I added cardboard behind that half weapon wall. Hanger details and weapons are more visible now. Maybe some one will find this idea useful. Very Impressive Depot. Some lamps and chains makes it more complete. I can send sample pics if interested.
Great video and thank you SO much for not having any annoying music playing in the background! Why people think they need to put music on why they are talking is beyond logic.
hey there. I ordered all of the joy toy mecha depot sets, and they really are FANTASTIC!!! Thanks for your reviews, they helped me tremendously. I ordered a couple of doubles because for the money, it is huge bang for the toy collectors bucks!!! Keep up the great work, mate.
Hmmm, I just got the Maintenance Area kit a few days ago and I had 20 + 5 (in the ladder bag) connectors that were enough to put together the whole thing, even for fixing the top of the wall panels together. Also, a nice piece of info (if you didn't know it yet): the larger peg on the Tamashii Stage Act 4 display stand articulated arm fits perfectly in the JoyToy Mecha Depot plate holes, so you can have your Flying Cavalry figures in some pretty sweet in-flight poses.
Great video. I have a question. How tall is this Mecha Depot (second product you showed)? Can this be assembled in different configurations? If you had two, can you continue to build upward? I'm trying to build something like this to go around, or at least on one side of a 26" HasLab Sentinel.
Yup you can change configurations add you please. It's yeah but you'll need 2 (3 to be super safe plus have flexibility in configurations) to house the HasLab Sentinel
I am seeing these little complaints about JoyToy diorama sets they really aren't thought all the way though. Like FreshRetro I did find some flaws but not like JoyToy leaving out a stabilizing piece for the back wall. And other small pieces used for stabilizing. There is a major difference between the two companies JoyToy having weathering and FreshRetro not having weathering. I ordered all the JoyToy sets should be here soon. And JoyToy customer service is much better than FreshRetro that has none.
Trust me there is a major difference between both sets. You can take apart FreshRetro carefully. FreshRetro is more modern. I like the look on both. I just feel they don't think it though on JoyToy like with FreshRetro they give you extra parts. Maybe in the future JoyToy will give expansion packs? They do and excellent job on mechs and figures nobody does better that's where they put all there RND for sure. FreshRetro put there RND into the bases and not so much into there mechs the complete opposite.
i've been looking around dioramas to fit the joytoy warhammer 40k 1/18 figs in. would you be able to say that they can fit good here or are they just too big for it?
@@AwesomeActionToys considering how big they are in the lore, i reckon they'd be towering the diorama. it's probably the same case for fresh retro sets then. thanks for the reply :)
@@AwesomeActionToys ohh really? i thought they're the same scale with joytoy. i'm checking out several joytoy mecha depot dioramas, and i'd probably try and get 2pcs of the testing area set and combine them together, and maybe 1 of the watchtower since that's all what's available on my local toy shop. do you think that's a good idea or it'll just be a waste? i'm looking forward for your chaos figs review btw. are they coming in together with the primaris captain? hope to see your review soon :)
@@vaynelevant FreshRetro are the same scale, but the barriers are smaller, so they just look to small compared to the Warhammer figures. I think the Chaos figures are coming first, but I'm unsure.

Glad my videos of these awesome JoyToy sets helped!
You can use your extra two peace floor connectors on the back of the top wall sections to give you some stability.
Great tip

Do the 1/25 Mechas and their pilots from Joy Toy Dark Source line "blend in" well with this line of 1/18 Mecha Depots?
Yes, they do.
Excellent video, review and build.
Thanks!
Adam, I now have 12 of these kits and have built a base measuring 4ft long, 2ft wide and 3ft high. I have duplicated some of the kits.
i really want that one, but i dont have any room for that in the studio! 🤣😂😂
I'm packing up stuff in my apartment right now, to much to have displayed on a table. I need more storage space.
You are the JoyToy King..cool Video s Bro..greets from Germany
I'm good you enjoyed it
Am I the only person who looks at the picture on the package, goes "that's nice", and then just puts it together any way I want?
I usually do after I've built the standard version for review purposes
Definitely must get if you had the fear mech.. nice..
For real
Nice video ! What are the dimensions of the staging area when completed? Thanks!!
Unfortunately it's all boxed, so I've no idea sorry
I've almost pulled the trigger on multiple of this set multiple times already, loll
Hehehe
how do the floor pieces connect to one another?
Connector tabs fit underneath them
Great review thank you! Which mecha is that with the minigun?
Joy Toy Fear 3 Mecha
Several of these would look great assembled on my 6 foot folding table instead of the crap that's currently on there.
I sense a plan formulating...

@@AwesomeActionToys cool! Thanks! That’s very helpful!
Happy to help
The best tool to use for assembling joytoy diorama is rubber hammer
That's what they use in their marketing office, but my hammer hand will suffice.
How would these be for a kid(6 year old)to build and play with?
Difficult to build, not bad for play, but likely to break when disassembling.
@@AwesomeActionToys thanks for the reply and feedback.
@@rrob8344 happy to help when i can
Could you put a warhammer dreadnought in it
Unfortunately it's reboxed now, and I'm in another country!
They need to give a few pieces to make that back wall more stable
A long connector across the top would have been good

I've had to resort to using hot glue to keep the walls and floor panels from coming apart.
If you're going for a permanent build, that's an awesome idea
@@AwesomeActionToys low temp hot glue don't permanently bond with the plastic. You can pry it off.
Could you please tell us about the size of the diorama?
Scale or dimensions?
Hello do you know were I can just get the weapons for the joytoy I want to fill up the area more
Marauder Gun Runners would be your best bet - www.marauderinc.com/

Is there other as well by any chance
In China it's quite easy, but outside of China your best bet is eBay, or look on eBay or the Facebook groups for those selling / customisers
