I'm not a drummer, but I make electronic music and your videos have really helped me with drum programming. I had maybe four or five go-to 4/4 grooves, and your content has helped me discover how much more variety there is to both grooves and time signatures, how to do fills, etc.etc. Keep up the fantastic work!
It's exactly why I'm here. Expanding the basics... It's a brilliantly done channel her lessons are done how they should be. Simple and straightforward with counting and graphics.
Yesterday I learned the take five 5/4 groove and now I am on the hunt for more 5/4. These 3 grooves are now written into my groove book and I will work through them over the next couple days. Thanks for the video
I LOVE YOUR SHORTS,this is the first full video ive seen from you and i love it even more. Having a hard day so gonna try these out later once my family and neighbors wake up
Your energy delivery and delivery is addictive. Love your simplicity to everything. It’s also strange to see a fresh set of grooves I haven’t heard before. Best of luck to you!
Years ago a jazz musician, by the name of Dave Brubeck, had an instrumental entitled "Take 5" (which was modern slang for "take a brief break") with the song's premise being playing in 5/4 time. If you're a serious music lover and haven't yet heard it, you owe it to yourself to listen to this beautifully seductive song. EDIT: All these years I've listened frequently to Take 5, and I just discovered that Dave Brubeck did not compose Take 5, but his bass player Paul Desmond did, and Brubeck arranged.
Hello English Duchess Drum instructor love your simplistic explanation if you would be kind enough to explain the quarter note with a dot 2/16 note duration behind it please clarify I would highly appreciate it. God bless you. 🥁🎶
You got a video on 5/4, 7/8, 7/4 and 3/4... But I would like to learn 6/8. Many of my favorit songs are 6/8, it just feels so smooth. But I have no idea how to play 6/8 on drums. hope it is easier that all these odd time signaturs though.
I'm glad someone is having so much fun. I think you may enjoy my channel with over 1000 drum videos. I enjoy breaking things down too. Drumming is FUN.

I like your video editing. What software you use? On phone or PC before you upload? You like or think something else better/easier?
Awesome 😍 love it!

The first one is very similar to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's "The River" but with the second pair earlier in the groove
Guns N Roses - Locomotive
Learn it, play it, feel good
How are you getting the sound through to the camera? Are you using your phone for the video?
The drum and mic audio are recorded separately and then added in in editing. The camera currently used is a Fujifilm X-T200. 😊
