Hell yeah dude. I remember when I was younger watching TH-cam with no money for years. Played videos of my dream cars all day. And now here I am enjoying on of Porsche’s most fun cars for the roads. 981 Spyder is a great 1- Porsche car. All the amenities of modern and still fun AF. And don’t let anyone convince you the gearing on a 981 is too long. Got to flog one for a summer and all those people just under-drove the car. Cheers!

It is, but I have only done it in the winter because I do not have a car with 300++ horse power. Also in the winter you can do it without wearing out your tires :)

Just enjoying the pure driving experience, not complaining about lack of tech or showing off a parking garage full of cars that have PPF even tho they are never driven. As weird as it may sound, watching your videos gives me a chance to pretend it’s me experiencing the fun. Hopefully one day!

I recently got into a new career and have been playing with the idea of a sports car.. for the price I don’t think you can beat this. The sound, the shifts, the revs, and even the heritage. It really has it all.
Well for the same price as a 15 to 20 year old Porsche Cayman / Boxster you can get a 2024 Toyota GR86 or Subaru BRX with similar performance .... But still people say it is worth paying for the Porsche, because of the feeling of how it is to drive :) (and also that sound of the 6 cylinder boxer engine).
I once had the pleasure to drive a GT4RS in Tuscany during euro delivery. Amazing car and even better hospitality while we were there. These Porsches reward good drivers!! Cheers m8

Just need to drive within your and the car's limits. These are very easy to drive and when you have them setup right they provide a ton of feedback and communication to the driver.

Have to admit. Driving till I'm a bit scared is one of the only times I really feel good and at peace. It forces everything else out. I suppose I should join a track club.
I would argue that the roughly 2000-2013 era was the best for pure drivers cars. You get most of the benefits of newer cars but you could still turn off all the nannies and everything was still super light. The generation after this was when everything started getting super heavy and more computer controlled.
I've ripped these roads in a GT4RS, you can go 10-15 in the curves, and rather than hitting 120 on the straights, you hit 150+. Suffice it to say... wayyyy too fast to be enjoyed and it's why I prefer the slower / non-GT/RS Porsches for the backroads. I think you'll like this video. th-cam.com/video/a8ZXzha0Mgk/w-d-xo.html
I always thought, people thinking the boxster was a poor man's 911, was weird. It's like apples and oranges. Having owned a 911, I prefer the boxster. A mid engine convertible is so fun.
I daily drive a 911 40 miles a day. It's a nice car, nice cruiser. But when I want to have fun on the backroads, it's a manual boxster every time. You just get a lot more theater and experience. Thanks for the comment!

It's mph - definitely. 3rd gear ends at 100 mph. If this would be kph the gearing would be way too short. Also we don't have yellow lines here in Germany. I really love the car, but doing 130 mph on those roads is just insane and far from responsible...
