- I love off the beaten path destinations and there are plenty in Central Pennsylvania! I spent a few days in Clearfield County visiting the following destinations. If you're looking for things to do in Central PA, this is a great place to start!

Clearfield is Awesome.
Totally surprised someone was doing a travel video on Clearfield. The pic of the elk, when I was young, elem school we used to go spotting with a spotlight for deer in the open fields after dark, we'd go in a Jeep, with an open top, just to see how many were out. Many times there were so many deer you couldn't count them. Thanks for the nice update.
I love finding out of the way places to explore. The US is full of so many treasures like this!
I was born and raised in clearfield, I left at 22 after graduating college but it’ll always be in my heart. The area has a great past and a lot of beautiful scenery. I sometimes dream of moving back and reliving my young outdoor life but the sad part is that the town and county are dying. There is a lack of good jobs, the school system has become very weak and meth has become a large problem. The county government keeps business out as it allows them to beg the state for more grant money. It’s appalling but that’s how the powers to be work!
I grew up in Mt. Zion. Between the race tracs
Many fond memories there. My Mom grew up there. Grandparents lived there many years. Safety Lane off of Martin street. I remember as a kid spending summers up there. Watching for "Old Man Cramer" to walk down the road towards town. In the evening we'd see him walking back up the road. Went to many races there too. I also remember watching the coal truck flying down Martin Street. Riding down to the fair grounds was easy. Riding back up to Grandma's house was a chore. Love the place. Miss my grandparents. They were wonderful people. My grandfather retired from the brickyard.
I liked the track better when it was dirt.
His name was Worly. Awe I miss seeing him as well. I worked at the bowling alley in “95
I am born an raised in Clearfeild. I am 42 and a chef in Sebring Florida. I can’t even recognize that town. I remember JG grocery store on the south side of the bridge and while she went grocery shopping I went wishing on the spill way

Looks cold! is that near Fallingwater?

Benezette is actually in Elk County, not Clearfield.
This looks right up my alley! Love the fall colors!
And the winery allows boondocking! (I think that’s the right term)
