I love how these games had themed rooms to explore with remixed music. when I had these i would spend more time exploring than I would playing the games. This is sorely missed in any new compilation of this sort

The Japanese name on the fifth game reads "Wonder Momo" (Wonder Peach). I've heard of the name but have never seen the game in action. I haven't watched the whole video yet so I guess I'll finally get the chance to see the game in action. Thanks for the video I am about to watch :)

This is the only PS1 Namco Museum game without a Pac-Man game on it.
And the japanese version of Volume 2, where Cutie Q took Super Pac-Man's place.

My Favorite Namco Arcade Games on this Namco Museum Encore Vol.6 was King and Balloons and especially 5 games I play the most was Sky Kid, Rolling Thunder, Rompers, Motos and Dragon Saber. But Wonder Momo is okay I love PC Engine port.

I’ve played Namco Museum Encore once. And Dragon Saber, the sequel to Dragon Spirit, was favorite one. Firepower is key for me.

Well, I did the unthinkable..... I bought this compilation too. Only missing Volume 2, and since I prefer the US one (with Super Pac-Man), and it's expensive as hell, I may not go for it (I paid $41.99 for a nice copy of Encore on Ebay). For my Super Pac-Man needs, I got the Game Boy Color Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man games, , one of them has Pac-Attack, the other Super Pac-Man. I also picked up Namco Museum Mega Mix on Wii, on it, Super Pac-Man (YAY!), and the other game I wanted on Volume 2, Gaplus.

I don't think any of these arcade games made it to the east coast.

Fortunately, King and Balloon, Motos, Sky Kid, and Rolling Thunder were able to be on some U.S. Namco Museum games.

Thought about buying this volume, but on a PS2, some of the games have issues with severe slowdown. I use Swap Magic with my PS2 imports, and I play my PS1 imports via a Gameshark that came with a memory card where I keep the memory card for it in slot 2's well....slot. It involves disc swapping for both, but unlike a PS2, it won't harm the console as both discs stop spinning before I open the console's lid up (after all, Swap Magic's casing allows you to load games from the top of a PS2 instead of the front, because it replaces the top half of the PS2 with it's own casing.
Just picked up the Japanese version of Volume 5, because well, it was under $30, unlike the western version, which is bonkers in price. That, and Legend of Valkyrie's greatness cannot be denied.

@@SVT512 I've learned to know the name of these game titles, even if I play games at a far lesser pace these days (ya know, work wears you out, and I don't have the time to dive into long modern games, but these classics are great for shorter bursts of play). Was a huge fan of Namco in the 80's (along with Taito and Konami), but after about 93 or 94, when their 3D output started coming out, wasn't as big a fan of their then newer stuff at all.

I don't know if you're into RetroArch for emulation but it has a translation (text to speech) option I saw an announcement video on in their YT page. One could rip their optical discs (up to PS2 I think) via RetroArch, then enable translation. This is a basic search query w/in their YT Channel that may help if interested: th-cam.com/users/Libretrosearch?query=translation
