@@CutterMc try searching molded rubber tube on google. It comes up with some items but I couldn’t find what I used mine from. If it comes to me in the next couple days, I will just reply to your comment again. I’m heading out To the shed now maybe that will jog my memory lol. Have a great weekend.
A vehicle designed to generate dealership service revenue. The tranny pumps fluid out to the tranny cooler under the hood. I've seen some videos where draining the transmission pan was done using the transmission cooler. If one didn't change the transmission filter is it possible to pump transmission fluid back into the transmission using the transmission cooler return line? The dealers must be doing something similar. Yes, your way is the right way. Just would like to know.
I would be afraid to run the vehicle to get the fluid to pump out unless I would attach some sort of vacuum tool to pull the fluid out without running the car. 🤷♂️. Thanks for your input and confirmation. Have a great new week and a great holiday season.
It depends if they are flushing it and replacing all the oil or just dripping the pan and doing what I did. If it’s a total flush, these days it’s probably close.
@ just the transmission oil change so not a flush. He will do what you did in the video. Labor $240 was what he told me his changing the gasket and filter as well
So you where able to reuse that plug except you inserted it from the top. Should have mentionned that you probably cleaned the top surface of dirt before removing the plug so that not to drop dirt back inside and contaminate the new oil..
20:03 "Rain Man' impersonation maybe? haha
Hot hot muffler is hot 🤣🤣🤣👍
How many quarts total for the change?
About 6.5
Great job! Where did you find that black rubber hose adapter?
It was a left over from a plumbing project. I can't remember what it was though I'm sorry.
@@whatsnextgarageits a start. Thank you!

Ya because it's running and pumping wow
A mechanic is charging me $240 for the labor is that reasonable?

Great point!
You could have showed everybody the plug you took out to add the fluid in...always capture oil and measure so that you know how much to refill
I did show the plug at 21:53.
You should check the fluid temperature not the pan according to Cadillac (GM)
