I love the fact that you can hear them throttling up and down. The amount of coordination and precise throttle and stick movements necessary to perform formation flight let alone formation landing or arial refueling is incredible. You can also see the other pilot constantly keeping an eye on his partner to stay in formation. Nice video.

Keeping the nose up after landing allows the air resistance to do more of the braking and reduces the wear of the wheel brakes. These F-16s didn't have drogue chutes, and unlike passenger jets, most fighters don't have thrust reversers to help braking.

Foreign Policy said Pakistan had invited U.S. officials to physically count the F-16 planes after the incident. Some of the aircraft were not immediately available for inspection due to the conflict, so it took U.S. personnel several weeks to account for all of the jets, one of the officials said.
Despite of continuous humilation and being put against the wall amid false claims, Indian Air Force is still stuck with its stance of shooting down PAF F16.
IAF has claimed that it has "electronic proof" that F16 was shot down.
As per IAF, these proofs are in shape of radio com intercept claiming that one F16 didn't return to base, and electronic signature of aircraft which was shot down.
On side note, such "proof" are highly prone to fabrication and carry no credibility!
Indian Air Force, sadly due to its unprofessional attitude, has turned into laughing stock in front of World!
Just go through the following links and you’ll see what I’m talking about!

      BIG POPA PUM
Indian claims regarding shooting down PAF F16 are false: U.S. Officials have personally stated that!
Two senior U.S. defense officials with direct knowledge of the situation told Foreign Policy that U.S. personnel recently counted Islamabad’s F-16s and found none missing.
The findings directly contradict the account of Indian Air Force officials, who said that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman managed to shoot down a Pakistani F-16 before his own plane was downed by a Pakistani missile.
One of the senior U.S. defense officials with direct knowledge of the count said that Pakistan invited the United States to physically count its F-16 planes after the incident as part of an end-user agreement signed when the foreign military sale was finalized. Therefore al of this cheap propaganda being spread by India is nothing but baseless deceptive material to manipulate the Indian population before the elections.

However the american fighters don't use chutes which is kind of odd. If you can save the tax payer's money, why don't use it? Anyway thanks for the info, I grew up near an airbase and always thought that the fighter jets need a chute to stop when landing.

    • @Nine-TailedFox4

We are not wasting tax payer money. Those guys aren't using the wheel break until they are very slow. Keep the nose up until bellow 100 knots and the induced drag makes the wing the best break you can have! No dirty chutes to pick off the runway, no burned out breaks.

    • @petkovmarin

And yet, they still use wheel break when the lift(induced drag) is over. Which is kind of odd cuz if they have such lift why don't they use it before touch down. I will check if this is the same with f15/18
