I had a 43 year career in sheetfed. AND PLENTY OF OVERTIME would add to that. Ran Millers (early on) then Heidelburg 4C- 6C SM 74s. Could be damn frustrating at times, but I loved it. A great rewarding career. High paying too. Quite crazy the lack of safety back then.
Nice! I remember that same press of the keys on a CP tronic 1991 6+L! It's always great to see the ladies in the print industry and running presses! Love this industry. :)
Nice to see a lady at a printingpress.. nice machine aswell, loved it when I was the operator on these, so versatile, like a GTO that can do what a windmill deos, if all accessories are purchased :)
Hii I'm very excited work for printing press please give me her Instagram account or Facebook I'd link I'm very interested work for foreign countries love from india
The only reason I can think is that they because they used too much spray powered printing the first side they are trying to stop a tint on the black filling in when backing up, running cyan and magenta first will cause most of the spray powder to be picked up on the first 2 blankets (cyan and magenta). It's a long work around that though admittedly, If I used to much spray powder I would have run the printed side back through on impression without dropping the form rollers to the plate to pick off the spray powder then washed blankets and backed up the other side. Also maybe they upgraded from a 2 colour GTO where you had to run 2 passes to make CMYK so logically to them they do C M BK Yellow. I would also have the plates output the other way round so you can still use the densitometer on the back edge colour bar but everything you print isn't upside down, This makes it much easier to spot all the typos! I'd also be cleaning down the feeder. Cant say I miss it..
Bonjour je suis ivoirien et imprimeur je veux ce type de machine. Comment dois-je faire ? Indiquez moi la démarche à suivre pour un éventuel contrat d'achat , merci
If I'm not mistaken, this sequence is used to reduce the stickiness of paint to avoid migration of previous colors. We use "B - C - M - Y", by optical density of color.
Yes, from evil Russia :) The temperature in the workshop is maintained at 23-25 degrees Celsius (70-77 Fahrenheit). Steam heating in winter and air conditioning in summer.
@Quadratte cheers brother nothing wrong with Russia 🇷🇺 a country I want to visit one day 😀 makes sense to me cooler climate different inks and I understand certain inks trap better. Here in Australia we tend to run cmyk. Iv been running a printmaster 74 for years and just curious you know
Do you mean the sheet or computor console, the hand held device is a densitometer, measures ink density, you balance out the ink along the sheet reading the color bars along the back edge of the sheet, you will do this for every color and keep checking it during the run,the console is a key pad,all color adjustment will be made from there as well as small positional movements

I remember back in the day we would only run by the numbers! Computers basically do everything for the operator.
Why did you put the Cyan one in line first end followed by Red, Black and Yellow?🤔

Really good machine! How much?
Colour sequence on the units is odd.
Also, that load marker for makeready should be folded to drop out, if forgotten.
Es una buena máquina... excepto el precio de los repuestos. Yo las he reparado y ya son muy antiguas.
whats doing the lady in hand
Densitometers have come a long way....
Never liked them, never used them.
There a good guide but your eye is your best tool printing

Some people use this scheme out of habit, since they have worked for many years on 2C machines.
@Quadratte Thanks for the reply can I ask are you in colder climates ?
Yes, from evil Russia :)
