She’s no longer a Fijian princess. In fiji once the head of your royal blood line who have severed its reign and dies. That royal Status isn’t recognised anymore. Some Fijians may still recognise but usually Fiji has moved on.

Wrong, I'm in the US and it's still widely practiced with Tongan Families here... I have family in Tonga as well and it's still practiced there, too... it's not as strict and the couple does have a choice whether to date beforehand..
