I lived on Guam for 10yrs. They had just broke ground when I moved to the Philippines in November 2021. I’m thinking of moving back, so I’m glad they got this opened.
Hi Chris. Not surprising that Don Quijote opened the biggest Japanese Supermarket, but surprising that it's in Guam. The place is huge. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Just wanted to give you an update regarding Villafe of Donki Guam. I talked to the staff earlier this week and they said they closed the Island Lounge because it was not doing too well so now it will only be used for special big events. My best friend and I checked it out and stayed in there for 2 hours, before they closed it to the public but tbh it was just too pricey for the local market and there was really no one going in there. Also, the basement floor recently closed to the public, the staff told me it will now just be used as additional storage room unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed Donki Guam!
I find it interesting that Japan's "WalMart" in America ( and America's territory in Guam's case) is named for one of Spain's most famous piece of 16th century Literature by Juan de Cervantes
My daughter just came back from Japan with a Donpen plushy. Apparently it’s a thing. 🐧 😂 if I ever make it to Guam I’ll definitely make sure to hit that store. Cheers!
$189 for one pack of boiled king crab legs????? Jeez, that’s quite expensive. In case if you don’t know what those machines are at the end of the video, that’s Gachapon (gacha toy capsule machines). Interestingly, Japan does have those mostly in Akihabara.
Guam is, I believe, our furthest-away territory…didn’t realize it was as close to Japan as it was…What brought you to Guam? On a layover heading to or from Asia?
I saw a video of this place b4 but I never saw it was so big !!! But any place in the whole entire world 🌎 if they want us to shop there they not us provide bags not us to buy any it’s not part of a shopping experience it’s the retailers job to provide period no matter what materials they choose !!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait, Guam as in territory?????????? or is it on the mainland in a state???????????? Darn, I googled it and you meant Guam as in the Island in the middle of nowhere!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whaaa can't drive there!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I love Village of Donki ❤
I visited the Donki store in Kagoshima, Japan, last year. The food was excellent.
Awesome!

Yes Guam 😀 -- I have a travel guide in the works.. I flew there via Tokyo Narita and back through Honolulu

Nice! You should visit the last remaining Kmart I’m pretty sure it’s in Guam. 😁
There is one K-Mart in Miami and one on Long Island, NY.

Yes! Gachapon! That's the word I was looking for!
I wish they would remodel the Donki in Hawaii. It’s showing its age and is so cramped too
I heard they are opening a new one on Oahu.. but agreed the current ones are showing their age
@@YellowProductions they opened a Tokyo Market or something out in Kaneohe/Kailua side of the island.

What other Guam is there? He did also say, "It is closed to Japan than anywhere else in the US."
Guam is a territory of the USA
EXPENSIVE!
