Before coming save some money
Explore kochi more
1. LuLu mall (buy food and plates in hypermart instead of food court then eat in foodcourt. There are buffets in the mall too).
2. Edapalli church (one of the largest)
3. Wonder la
4. Novotel buffet (Near wonder la)
5. Marine drive
6. Sylcon sea view food court in marine drive
7. Fort kochi ( take water metro from marine drive to reach here.
8. Streets in fort kochi (many reach the place saw the beach and move on. You need to walk to reach Portuguese style streets)
If u come to Kerala have little bit more budget. from kochi you can take MV lakshadweep ship or flight to lakshadweep islands. Take entry permit using travel agents
Kerla behad khoobsurat hai or kerla k log bahut samajhdar, madad karne wale or khoob parhe likhe Hain .

If you are travelling from Alleppey to varkala and you want to cover Jatayu also this will take almost a day and Poovar and Padmanabhaswamy Temple you can do in half day

How to go from munnar to thekedy and then allepey in public transport?
I visited recently....please highlight the real struggle while moving from 1 place to other...100km is not easy each one is far away 80/120 km half day gone in travelling than tiredness..taxy prices are high

Thanks Shashank for this detailed itinerary video for Kerala. I have few questions: 1) We are planning to explore munnar using a rented bike as our 4 year old daughter has vomiting issues in car. Are rented bikes available in munnar (also in Kovalam). 2) Where did you stay in munnar 3) We are planning to visit Kovalam. Can you please suggest if Kovalam is better or Varkala. We plan to visit padmanabh temple also. So planning to stay in Kovallam. It would be very helpful if you can answer these questions.

The bike can be rented at all the places you mentioned. If you come to Thiruvananthapuram and stay in Kovalam area, there are many beaches there. Then in Thiruvananthapuram There are Padbhanabha Swamy Temple and Atukal Temple in the city. Go there and see the sights of the city. It is an hour and a half bike ride to Varkala. Varkala is a very good place. and to stay Mini Goa

We can back from Kolukkumalai at around 9:30am so you can come back to hotel and get fresh and take rest also. We did same after coming back we took rest, as you have to start very early like 3:30 or 4 in the morning for kolukkumalai so you will need some rest after coming back.

Will it be better to hire a car from there as you mentioned in this video? I am planning to travel to Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey and Varkala. But I can find that nearest airport from Varkala is Thiruvananthapuram which is just 50 kms away. In case I hire a personal car, then I will have to drive back to Cochin to drop the car. And will have to take flight from Cochin. What do you suggest?
You can drop in multiple location. Not compulsory to drop at the same location
