I was there and seeing Raul 😇 and the rest of the Band at The Greek Theatre with the surrounding mountains on a cool SCal summer night was amazing! And this is coming from a TX girl that has seen them at Gruene Dancehall, Gruene TX. There is no other band like The Mavericks ❤❤❤ Dios te bendiga siempre!
I was there last night! Great show overall! I would be perfectly happy if the Mavericks just did their first two albums all the way through! That's on me... 😎 One little critique: Eddie Perez was OFF. Yes, he's a great guitar player but he did not sound right. I'm not talking about the audio quality. Anyway, thank for the upload! Off to the Yoakum video!
Really interested to understand what you mean by Eddie Perez being OFF. But I’m struggling. You say he’s a great guitar player (I agree), that you’re not talking about the audio quality, but that he didn’t sound right. Do you mean his vocals? Certainly he was still recovering from a bad ear infection.
@@judeward5341 If I had been blind folded during their performance I would have asked "Who is playing lead guitar? What's he doing on stage with the Mavericks?" His playing was way off. Maybe he wasn't feeling good. This is my 6th time at one of their live shows and I'm a big fan. Just my opinion. Overall The Mavericks "sound" was great and way better than Dwight's. His set was too loud. Th house PA system was straining at times.
@@Mr.SharkTooth-zc8rm Thank you for clarifying. I’ve heard Eddie play so often that’s it’s difficult to believe he would suddenly lose that fabulous talent and musicality. But I respect that you heard what you heard. I wasn’t there. I can only say that, listening to the video, I don’t hear him sounding ‘off’. But if you think he was, I can only think there might have been some effect from that severe ear infection , as I suggested. He was certainly still on meds, and loud noises would be highly undesirable. Is it possible he couldn’t hear himself? I’ve no idea. But it’s my best guess, considering he’s such a consistently wonderful guitarist. I do pay credit to him for flying out from Nashville to play at the Greek, when he wasn’t yet over the infection. And he certainly gave everyone a stage performance to remember - what a mover!
Never heard Eddie be off! He sounds as superb as ever to me AND he moved like the sex god rock star he truly is. However, it’s worth remembering he’d had a severe ear infection that caused him to miss the three shows prior to this one at the Greek. Eddie has rarely missed shows in his entire career to date. Just saying…
Ótima bamda parabéns a todos aí vai um coração pra cada um ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
From this guy in Illinois who saw them back in April this was awesome!! Thanks for posting.
