You're telling me. They were basically crowning USC as the champs before they even played the game. Well, that's why they actually play games, instead of just writing them out on paper.
i dont think i ever doubted once that season that the horns would lose a game until there was about 6 minutes left and we were down by 12 in the natl champ. game... and then superman evolved into a god and won it all for the horns
the 2007 Fiesta Bowl was the best bowl game that season. probably top 5 of all time. However the 2006 Rose Bowl NC was voted as the best bowl game of all time.

I'm like thinking to myself they barely beat ND and Fresno St and they still haven't played in the national championship yet, can we wait till after the Rose Bowl to do this if they win? Well Texas stopped those talks.

i'm not a texas fan but i have alot of respect 4 texas. i think colt mccoy may be the next vince young. they both had comeback wins. vince younge came back and won the nc for his team against usc. colt mccoy came back against ou and beat em by ten and they were down most of the game and kept fighting back and took the lead 4 good by i think 7 and i think the scord a fg to lead by 10.texas won 45-35. and then in the fiesta bowl colt came back and beat ohio state and won the fiesta bowl 4 texas.
im still pissed at espn for all that crap about USC being the greatest team ever and texas had no chance. texas had a tougher schedule, scored more points, and allowed fewer i mean damn did espn even pay attention

I'm assuming you meant to say that LSU has one more crystal than USC. That drives me crazy too. USC back in '04 (and '08 to be honest) would have smoked LSU. I'll take our one undisputed NC over LSU's two controversial disputed titles.
Just like Texas had to prove itself on the field against USC in 2005, we (AUBURN) would've done the same in 2004 had we been afforded the chance. However, we're not media darlings like USC, Texas, Ohio State, and that school up the road in our own state. Not complaining, just stating the facts. War Eagle.
you're gonna win the pac 10 b/c everybody else is terrible. i would say usc could roll with any championship quality team but they're gonna have no wins against quality opponents to justify rising back to #1 or 2 ranking... so no championship game for you, sorry
