nice explanation,, bt i am also the victim of this Tappet Sound.. Hero Service Agency did it 4 times.. but as you said.. Not carefully... so now Tappet sound is more than engine sound.. 🤦♂

Bro some of them are saying to change the head kit so as to reduce the engine noise. Will it serve the purpose ? Please reply bro.
get it replaced if they are giving it under warranty else keep adjusting tappet every 6 or 8k km, i have a theory it could be the cam which is causing all this noise due to high lift since they rebored the old achiever/unicorn engine to 200cc & to meet the power figures it needs more air hence the higher lift & slightly bigger valves imo they should've kept the smaller cam lift and went with 4 valve sohc instead that would have made engine much quieter with similar or better power figures.

no bro check it's user manual or find workshop manual last option would be to ask honda service.
Have you checked the valve guide clearance? There's a horrible noise on decelaration in any gear after running for 20 minutes. Valve clearances are in spec as per owner manual. Bike is x pulse 4v.
no i did not but it's safe to say it is common sound among all hero 200cc bikes engine based on cbz/unicorn don't think too much just compare it with same bike apart from xtreme 160r all of the xtremes and xpulses make similar sound while decelerating for me.

Sir...at the end of exhaust strok piston will be TDC, and both the tapets are free or not.? Please replay me. In my case tapets are tight.
yes it will be in TDC in exhaust stroke tappet will be tight in exhaust stroke,
For tappet adjustment we need TDC in compression stroke.

Koi lagana bhul gya hoga head ko rigidity provide karta hai kyoki iss bike me chassis se head connect nhi hai so that's a workaround.

it does affect power & efficiency, valve clearances goes off due to normal wear & tear.

bs6 me bs temperature sensor ke kiye ek point rehta hai behind chain tensioner baki kuch difference nahi hai

only hero corp can help in this matter if you need some temporary solution then get it rebored and use slightly bigger size piston and if the damage is severe then nothing can be done apart from waiting for the oem piston block kit.

I bought the Hero Xpulse, and on the fourth day, it started producing a loud noise. Within 2-3 days, the noise worsened significantly. Unable to understand the issue, I took it to the service center. They found that the Valve spring was open inside the head, causing damage. Despite requesting a replacement, they deemed it as physical damage. This problem has persisted for two and a half years, making the Xpulse uncomfortable for not only long rides but short rides also. Considering the ongoing issues, I'm inclined to part ways with this bike, and I've even considered uniting with others facing similar problems to address the issue collectively.
Let us come together and burn this vehilcle.

Hi bro i have a xtreme 200s having same problem past 2 years now the showroom people are not helping they say its natural sound of engine when the engine heats up
Tell them why new bike does not make such sound when it reaches its operating temperature.

I have changed rhe cam shaft, timing chain, rocker arm, valve, and tensioner but still the problem didn't go away please help

temporarily solution ke liye ek accha mechanic pakdo aur lathe wale se Block rebore karwa lo aur piston usi hisab se bada wala use kar lena agar damage jyada hai toh aapko wait hi karna padega parts ka.
Is this caused due to using of company's engine oil plss suggest bcoz I have took new one
nope OE oil is just fine imo it could be due to tighter clearances + air cooled but it is somewhat rectified in bs6 due to addition of oil cooler.

unfortunately there is none bro just adjust tappet every 8 thousand kms to OE spec, you should not worry about engine damage as long as you have warranty.

As previous hero CBZ xtreme owner I can tell that the noise is due to the play in either rocker arm or cam . Get it changed noise will go : for the people who's valve clearence is normal . I still cannot believe this Kit kit problem isn't gone from this engine . In hero honda days these engines were terifically built but what has happened now.
rocker arms & cam both are brand new in my case it might also be due to poor material used to build the components but then again most of the indian manufacturers have same oem.

@@AryamanSrivastava895 seems your bike's chain tensioner is gone bad replace it in next service or use honda shine's chain tensioner.

kuch der chalane ke baad idling kaisi hai bike ki? aur chain tensioner ko halka sa manually tight kr ke dekho agar fir bhi jyada awaj ati hai toh valve rocker ki bearing ka play check kro,timing chain stretch & play bhi dekho,valve kat to nahi gye ye bhi dekho gadi high rpm me dhua toh nahi marti, waise iss engine me thodi bahut awaz ana normal hai ise nayi hornet se compare kr sakte ho engine noise ke mamle me.

Brother I have Xtreme 200 r too... I am fed up with its engine tik tik noise... Even hero service center unable to rectify it!!! I have given to other mechanic and he made worse!!! Bikes exhaust note has been fully change and now it sounded like old grumpy scooty pep 🥴🥴🥴 Help me out brother .... Hero service center had change my rockers and done the packing setting something.... But situation is the same.
if it's heavy kat kat sound then your chain tensioner & cam chain needs replacement else set tappet clearance & it should go away
Bro that scooty pep soud must be due to improper placement of the oil seal of the cylinder head .. ask the mechanic to apply sealent . there's a leak .

bhai yaha bhi kuch aisi hi kahani hai minimum 15 din lagte hai order aane me.
Hero ka xtream 200r, 200s aur xpulse sab ka engine xtream 150 old model par hi bana hua h. Usme bhi yahi noise aati thi. Sirf 4 valve laga ke hype bana dia h hero ne. Ye sab bekar bike h. Na design accha h na seat comfort. Ha xtream 160 ka engine acha banaya h hero ne.
Jitne baar bhi service center walo ko bolo bho sirf goli dekar taal dete ha tappet noise wale baat ko
