Thank you so much! I may not be continuing this channel as of a month ago but maybe one day I will be back. Take care, and thank you for all of your support!
Well, I always have the same answer to this question. Quite honestly, they will be noticeably deflated and unsightly if you create them too far in advance. The reality is that these constructs look their very best the day they are made. The earliest that I ever create decorations for an event is the night before, where I then cover the columns in large plastic bags and tie them airtight overnight to keep the luster of the latex bright and prohibiting air molecules from escaping. If you really want everyone to be impressed with your work, it would be a prudent decision to create them within 24 hours of the event. Balloon decorating can be a delicate artform, and it's all about aesthetic. Thank you for your question.
Hi! Yes, you can inflate these and set them up the night before - just make sure to keep them overnight in large plastic bags. This keeps the air in better but (more importantly) it protects the balloon’s luster from dulling and keeps them looking beautiful as well as full.
Hi! I advise my viewers to create the column the night before, and then keep the finished design overnight in a large airtight bag. This will ensure the balloons to not deflate and the luster of the colors will remain aesthetically desirable for the day’s event.
Depending on the size of the balloons and amount inflated, there will sometimes be slight gaps. It also depends on how tight you make the quads at the centers, and how tightly you compress multiple quads using ribbon. Seeing a bit of ribbon through the balloons can be okay if you use a ribbon that matches the color so it stands out less.
Hi there! Balloons are like a birthday cake - they last for a while, but their main function is for one particular day. I always tell my viewers that columns can be made the night before if they stored in a large airtight plastic bag overnight to be opened fresh for the next day. The balloons losing their air is not even the main concern - it’s that when stretched latex is exposed to air, the luster of the balloons can dull rather quickly. A large, airtight bag keeps these two issues from becoming a problem for you. I know, it’s not the most convenient situation, but if you make the column days in advance and do not store it - it will be like a cut flower not in water.
Balloon Sage People love stuff they can get at the dollar store :) The printed balloons are awesome, don't think we have printed ones at my dollar store. I have seen some, but at dollar stores where things are more than a dollar. Going to keep my eyes open :)
Ask Me For A Balloon they smelled a bit like spray paint so I am not sure how legit the printing process is, but they looked pretty cool, at least. I've noticed a lot of my party stores and dollar stores in my area are stocking more balloons and with more variety. I have to imagine tutorials like yours are making balloon decorating even more popular globally than ever! Cheers.
Hi. Honestly, I only ever use one balloon pump - and that is the Qualatex dual action hand Inflator. You pretty much have to order one off of Amazon or directly from the Qualatex website or the Mayflower Distributing Company catalogue. I never use any other pump.
They can be, but they will only last for the duration of a party before the sun and win does a number on them. Outside columns generally are constructed using a pole and base plate system.
@@BalloonSage gasp! U replied D: I'm glad to know your still active on your videos, I don't wanna stress you and ask you to make more vids cuz it's free content.. But know that your videos are very educational and relaxing to watch. Your talent/gift is very cool!
Honestly. it is all about symmetry as opposed to specific numbers. it all depends on what kind of pump you are using as well. Pretty much just equally add 4 pumps each to whatever Ive done here in this video.
Well, if you inflate them the same amount they will be relatively the same size - but they will also possibly be a lot more malleable and difficult to build with due to how soft and squishy they are. I made this video a few years ago and nowadays I would have included instructions on the 12” version as well. I teach much more thoroughly now. 9” definitely recommended but 12” has a possibility of working. You could scale the design up, but I’m not smart enough to tell you how much extra air each balloon should have. Thank you for your question!
greddygut hi, I am using a Qualatex Hand Inflator which I ordered online. I order most of my supplies online, and this is the only style of pump I ever use. I have quite a few.
Hi. The amount of time it takes each person to build this will vary. There are so many individual factors. However, I can tell you that at the time of making this video 2 years ago, I was a rookie. I forced myself to figure this column out and then came up with a way to make a video about it. I imagine this could be learnt and built in about 2 hours, but once you have these techniques down, all columns and arches are virtually the same. Thanks for watching!
Hi there! This was one of my first column videos and I would have taught this design much differently if I made it today. However, I generally demonstrate hand inflation as most people don’t own an electric pump and sizing box and I make videos for the largest audience possible. Thank you for your questions!

How long abouts will these stay inflated for? could I make them the day before my shower and them hold up?

What pump did you use for the balloons? So cute btw! 🎈💕
Hi! I only use one pump - the Qualatex Dual-Action Hand Inflator. It’s always lime green and always the best!
Where do u buy pump at
Every time I stack these, I see gaps in the middle and see the ribbon, I am using nine inch balloons, not sure what I’m doing wrong any advice?

what size balloons are you using ?
Hi! I am using 9-inch round balloons. The two standard sizes you will find at dollar stores and party stores are either 12" balloons or 9" balloons.
good
Balloon Sage if you use 12" balloons how many pumps will you need?

Hey, your Christmas tree really inspired me and I am working on a design right now. You are the best!
I know I didn't change much from Balloon Gal's version but I was hoping the dollar store aspect would help me slide.

so you tie them before binding them.
Yea he does
I have the air machine and it does two at a time. He's using a pump from dollar tree. it's harder to hold a balloon and pump.. so he tied them off..
Thank you for this video awesome !!
I'm happy you like it.
Where did you get the air pump from?

what inch size balloons
Hi! You can use 9” or 12”.
Now I'm really stuck for baby shower idea they are so good 😱
Haha
Amazing thanks for sharing
How tall are they?
Hi! Approximately 4.5 feet tall or a little over 50 inches. Thanks for watching.

It is a Qualatex dual-action hand Inflator. You can order it on Amazon.
Can I use 12” instead or it won’t work??
Hi! Sure, you can use 12” rounds if you like.

Awesome!
They look like 5" and 11" Balloons
Haha, yeah they sure do, but they are 12" round for gold and 9" round for pink and white.
oh ok
Is there a reason why you’re not using a air compressor? Asking for a friend.
And the gold balloons are bigger than the white & pink? 🤔
