Thanks Denis, Not overly expensive when you consider the safety benefits (an just being able to be in contact with friends and family ) and they work really well. John
Many thanks for your really good video on this device. I especially like the idea of being able to activate/deactivate the monthly use of it. I'm going away for four months 1st July departing Coffs Harbour >> QLD [1 month] (Cairns, Longreach, Mt Isa), NT [1 month] up to Darwin. Ghan 31st August >> Adelaide. Then the remainder of the last two months zig-zagging SA/VIC, VIC/NSW, NSW/VIC, VIC, NSW. Just seven swing doors to negotiate. Travelling in my 1996 Subaru Outback wagon; sleeping in it ala bush wherever possible. Like I did early 2018 (3 3/4 months, t'other direction ^v on the Ghan. e.g. NSW/SA, Darwin, then zig-zag down to Adelaide again, SA/VIC, VIC/NSW, and home.
Hi Thanks for the comment, Wow sounds like a great trip you have got planned and I think a Zoleo would serve you well. The good old Subys hey, I did all my trips before i got the Ranger in a Forester.. loved it and it went everywhere and anywhere. They cou ldn't believe it when I rolled into Mt Dare in an standard Forester.Me a mate a swag and an Icebox...ahhh for the simpler times! What tyres are you running on the Suby, that was my biggest problem? John
@@cannyoutdoors Hi John, Yokohama Geolander A/T-S E7903L Radial Tubeless 205/70R15n 96S Can't get them anymore I believe. I'd purchased & had fitted mine at Bob Jane's. The boss there advised me not to fit new tyres yet, as mine still have 30 to 40,000kms life left. But if needs be I'll have new same-same fitted either in Cairns or Darwin. But at 30,000kms minimum left in worst one they should last the distance for me. Am expecting 15 to 20,000 absolute max on my 2022 Ghan Sojourn. And I don't get to drive it here much at all. Take care, Noel
Was wondering 'what the heck' to do in this regard... great review... problem solved! Thank you!!
