Wish I was there fishing as that is one of my fav spots. Nice to set up chairs there. I think you got to know hoew to fish that spot? Thanks for the video.
Enjoy your videos. What line did you use to spool the reel with? I'm surprised you are using a pyramid sinker. I thinking it will snag easy there or is that only down at 2nd-4th street pier? Thanks Jay.
Thanks! The line is KastKing braid, 30#. I use heavier line for these so I can lift them onto the dock without a net. The pyramid sinkers work fine, I've never snagged there. 2nd-4th is a different story- it's a rock pile for a memorial reef, so you'll snag. The inlet is another bad spot to use a pyramid sinker because it will snag.
February is dead slow...no fishing at all because everything is gone. January is usually only schoolie stripers hanging around, all pretty much the same size.
No, headed back out to Assateague to hunt. Santa con always looks awesome though, the Bearded Clam is always packed. One year I need to make it down there.
The Drone footage is getting Epic brother!!! Loved that intro and Love that You are sharing you're fishing knowledge...Thanks Jay!!!
Love your take and views on Ocean City which give a realistic feel for the town.
Thank you!!!
Nice catches, Jay!
Thanks!

Do you ever fish from the fishing pier at the Isle of Wight Nature Park?
No, it's too shallow there. You'd have to cast out 100 yards to hit deep water. At my furthest cast its still only 3 feet, all sand and no structure.
Even though it gets colder - can u fish year round in Ocean City and if you did would you see the same type of fish year round ???
February is dead slow...no fishing at all because everything is gone. January is usually only schoolie stripers hanging around, all pretty much the same size.
So are there other fish like croaker there? This time of year only sharks? Thanks
Only sharks and tautog. The water Temps are too cold for everything else. In the summer it's a great spot to fish!
and don't people so swimming in the bay in the summer ?? I myself only go in the Ocean when its warm.. which is almost never but in late Aug.
We swim in the bay, especially when we go clamming or around Assateague Island. The sharks don't really bother anyone.
@@ReelJayB I never heard of any shark bits in the Bay...but couldn't believe you were catching sharks in the Bay.
You heading out to Santa con?
No, headed back out to Assateague to hunt. Santa con always looks awesome though, the Bearded Clam is always packed. One year I need to make it down there.
@@ReelJayB I was hoping to run into finally. Good luck hunting.
@@jimryan4056 thanks! I was going to go fish down there tomorrow, but the weather looks horrible.
Are you retired?
