I married a filipina from Carcar in 1979, on the island of Molokai Hawaii, for i had half filipino/filipina cousins on Molokai, and my cousins grandmother was from Argao. and i used a fiancé visa to bring my late wife to Hawaii, and my 1st visit to Cebu with my wife was not until 1999. I remember my family going fishing. The mosquitoes were really bad,so I cuddled up to my mom and she smoked cigarettes to keep them away! Don’t know which was worse, the mosquitoes or the cigarette smoke.😅
It's so nice place.. this is amazing place. Away from bustle and hustle in the city. I missed my life in OUR farm in the province of Bukidnon. So refreshing...so nice eating your own products..

Dowry is called Lobola in countries like Zimbabwe and South Africa is a token of appreciation from a husband to wife`s parents. It`s a cultural thing and the way it`s done differs with tribes. In the African culture it`s not buying a wife. It`s appreciating her parents for raising a wife for the man.
