My Dad was on Pearl, in the Army, when we were attacked. He HATED the Japanese so after the war he volunteered for the Occupation Forces. By the time he came home he had fallen in love with the Japanese people and brought crates of souvenirs.
Atl least the Japanese attacked a military target that wasn't even u.s. territory at the time, nuking Japan was disgusting. I'm glad your dad managed to see it right

All wars are disgusting, what America did was the most disgusting act ever, how many times do we go back.. yes Japan has been at war with others, but no other country used nuclear. The USA's murdererus occupation of United States of America from the native Indians... I don't think every single country that hasn't been at war with another country, but none of the others used nuclear

Because 99% of the population of Japan dying defending their country would be so much better than 2 nuke's right? You have to remember the Japanese were radicalized. They considered death as their greatest honor. There would have been no peace without either wiping out every Japanese (including another 2-3 million dead US soldiers) or a nuke. Only 200,000 at most died from the two nukes combined. Where at minimum 25-45 million Japanese would have died if we went for the land invasion instead. You might want to research into history a bit more.
I Applaud this" I have begun saving many of these and others to various solid-state storage " hope we can all give back one day if it goes " The idea, " If nothing else someone, might come across a working drive, 30 years from now that has a missing piece from today.
Japan is a country worth fighting for. I went back to my country of birth in 2018 and missed Japan so much. I was so happy to arrive back in Japan, my adopted home.
The Japanese know what they’re doing, one homogenous population is the best way to go.
You realise Japan has Muslims and mega mosques right? have around the same Muslim population has any country in Europe relative to their size

I have been to several places in Japan when I was in the United States NAVY doing sea duty
They should have been training for war like the Marines did
I saw the blacken remains of the cities that we bombed to end the war with Japan
